They help my family very much good program
Heather FoxJul 24, 2026(If you have an extreme case or at all feel like the other parent would do something DO NOT go here) I had a situation with The Family Tree knowing something was happening to my child and my child eventually came to me about what was happening. (He was 3 at the time) He was being left alone in the bathroom with the other parent (court order to be supervised) with the a history of suffocation. He told me she was angry grabbing him tightly expressing things that I don’t think he understood at his age, and that I’m a monster. After the last visit when I took him out he came home and was regressing in everything peeing on his self not going to the bathroom anymore, he just looked so distressed, food patterns changed and sleeping. Started having nightmares about monsters being afraid of the dark. The place lied to cover themselves and because they judged me (I say this because of the way I was being treated) saying that someone was on the outside of the door with the door cracked and that would not be true if she was able to express these things to him and getting angry and grabbing him tightly. They were trying to make it seem like I was overreacting or he’s fine when I was coming to them about something happening in the bathroom. They told me I can go somewhere else and nothing is going to change to protect my child, the policy won’t be changed, someone being outside the bathroom with the door cracked even though they weren’t doing that. I was never disrespectful, showed up on time, I did miss days for us being sick in the winter but because they told me “their policy” no one else could bring him it had to be me until that changed (another lie something that wasn’t adding up). They judged me like I was another “petty” parent but I never gave that I am a very quiet and soft person. I am protecting my child and was observing to make sure what actually happened never happened. They were not supervising like we’re in this situation for a reason, things were probably missed because of this they were neglecting the protection part and my child’s needs. I say this to say if you have an extreme case or at all feel like the other parent would do something do not go here and make sure to be an observant parent. (There is also a history of mental health, unusual behavior (not in the order) harassment and stalking which is in the protective order)

Questions parents ask about The Family Tree
Is The Family Tree a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. The Family Tree holds Maryland licence 1746219386424x478589418430692700, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Baltimore City. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to April 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
How many children is The Family Tree licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 6 school-age places for The Family Tree. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does The Family Tree operate all year?
- Maryland records The Family Tree as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for The Family Tree?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Family Tree's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
