  • My grandson attends growing nest and he is always happy. He just made two, but he already knows his abc’s, colors, and counting numbers since attending there. He does fun activities, for instance yesterday he dressed up as a pizza maker and built his own pizza. They play blocks, sing and read books amongst other enriching experiences. I would send any child there, knowing the warmth and enrichment’s provided.

  • The Growing Nest is a truly special place where our 1-year-old is not only cared for, but celebrated in all his uniqueness. It brings us so much peace of mind knowing he’s in an environment that nurtures his curiosity, encourages exploration, and supports his development in such a thoughtful and intentional way. The love and attention he receives each day have helped him grow with confidence and joy. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this warm, welcoming little school and couldn’t imagine a better start to his early learning journey.

  • We found The Growing Nest serendipitously, and it felt like such a beautiful full-circle moment—our twin boys ended up being cared for by the very same amazing teachers who had once nurtured our firstborn. From the very beginning, the experience was incredibly positive. Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Nahid are wonderful, warm, and nurturing teachers. Our boys came home happy every day, full of stories about the fun activities they did—arts and crafts, outdoor play, yoga, and so much more. There was such variety and thoughtfulness in everything they did. What stood out the most was the attachment the kids developed with their teachers, and the comfort we felt as parents knowing they were in such loving and capable hands. We’re so grateful to The Growing Nest for playing such a meaningful role in our children’s early years. The Nest and its teachers will always be a special part of our family’s story.

  • We have been offering Warrior Kids Yoga enrichment classes for The Growing Nest for a few years now and highly recommend this warm facility for any family seeking care for their little one. Supportive teachers in a nurturing environment that encourages little ones to learn through exploration, just the place you are looking for. 🧘‍♀️

  • We found Growing Nest back in August 2022 when our twins were just about 2.5 years old. We were first drawn by the gentleness and thoughtfulness of Ms.Mary and Ms. Nahid, their pedagogy, and the beautiful environment of Growing Nest. Growing Nest truly cares about children and we have never once worried about leaving our twins in their care. We love the intimacy of Growing Nest, and how our twins are able to grow up together with friends around their age, in a warm and caring environment. It is so heartwarming for us to hear the twins chatter about their friends at school, and share their little anecdotes about the school activities, from yoga class, to science experiments, to cooking and baking class, to visiting llamas, ice-cream trucks, a local fire department and musicians – the list is endless! We love Growing Nest and we feel extremely fortunate to have our children grow up there!

  • We started our journey with the Growing Nest in the summer of 2021. Our daughter just celebrated her 1st birthday not long ago, and as many other babies born during the pandemic, she barely had any social interactions with anyone else but mom and dad. We chose the Nest for her for many reasons: the intimate atmosphere, the bright and cozy space, and most importantly, the philosophy of teachers being the "educarers" that foster the early childhood growth in a thoughtful and caring way. The Nest never let us down and exceeded our expectations: She grew from a baby to a girl with a big heart full of curiosity to explore the world and kindness to other friends. She enjoyed every bit at the Nest: from the everyday circle time reading a book or telling a story, to the Friday yoga classes, to the self-made pizzas, smoothies, and popsicles, to the fun time she spent outside with her friends. She also grew to be independent both physically and mentally, and she is a good citizen in the community. We believe that the Nest has done a fantastic job preparing her for her future years at school. We would wholeheartedly recommend parents with young kids to consider the Growing Nest.

Questions parents ask about The Growing Nest

Is The Growing Nest a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. The Growing Nest holds Maryland licence 1746212914027x709213147950295700, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Montgomery County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to September 29, 2026. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about The Growing Nest's standing?

Maryland records The Growing Nest's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is The Growing Nest licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 1 infant place for The Growing Nest. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does The Growing Nest operate all year?

Maryland records The Growing Nest as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for The Growing Nest?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Growing Nest's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
