  • My children go here and they love the teachers. My youngest had a hard time adapting to certain places and being here has really helped him open up! The teachers are nice and welcoming.

  • Do NOT recommend. Dennis the owner is terrible at keeping track of the financial aspect of the business. I have been told in the past 2 years that I’ve owed money that isn’t owed. I have been charged the wrong rates multiple times. As a parent you HAVE to keep up with the finances or you will be screwed over. Finally had enough, withdrew my child and asked the owner over and over again for my over payment to be given to me as he verified via email that I had over paid with no response or payment. They have multiple investigations open currently for mistreatment of kids and for how dirty it is. Cameras conveniently don't work. Children to teacher ratio is off tremendously. Definitely do your research before enrolling into this daycare. Ask around.

  • My twin nieces were up until very recently, enrolled at the Kinder Garden. 10/10 do NOT recommend!!! One of the twins is non-verbal and autistic. Her mother witnessed a staff member get in her face and scream at her. They have become increasingly ghetto and trashy. They only care about receiving their payments. I would not treat an animal they way they treat the kids there. Cameras are consistently “out of order”. Children to teacher ratio is uneven, which also gave opportunity for one of the girls to be bitten on the face by another student and no adult to witness. There are two other far superior daycare facilities on Kent Island, do yourself a favor and reconsider.

Questions parents ask about The Kinder Garden

Is The Kinder Garden a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. The Kinder Garden holds Maryland licence 1746214572523x773263435854477800, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Queen Anne's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to April 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about The Kinder Garden's standing?

Maryland records The Kinder Garden's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is The Kinder Garden licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 18 infant places and 20 school-age places for The Kinder Garden. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does The Kinder Garden operate all year?

Maryland records The Kinder Garden as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for The Kinder Garden?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Kinder Garden's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
