  • I cannot express in words how much we love Charlene! My daughter and son have both been going to the learning tree since they were 6 months, now 4 and 2. There is no one else I would trust to take care of them. She is always on top of everything. We get updates every hour of what they are eating/playing/jokes they say etc. I am an anxious mom and Charlene understands me never gets annoyed with me and anlways answers all my questions. My kids come home smarter every day! She truly has been come part of our family. We highly recommend The learning tree.

  • Charlene and The Learning Tree is absolutely the best choice we made for our daughter in the last few years! She was with Charlene for almost 3 years and not only is she a smarter, better person, but she was happy and well loved. Couldn't pick a better person to love and take care of my child when I'm not there. The environment is wonderful with stations, fun, and plenty of outdoor space. There are so many projects and lessons learned in a way my child could understand. We are so grateful that we found The Learning Tree!

Questions parents ask about The Learning Tree

Is The Learning Tree a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. The Learning Tree holds Maryland licence 1746212129615x557151516375589100, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Montgomery County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to June 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about The Learning Tree's standing?

Maryland records The Learning Tree's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is The Learning Tree licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 2 infant places for The Learning Tree. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does this page show inspection results for The Learning Tree?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Learning Tree's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
