Maryland publishes an infant band and a school-age band and no others, so these are not a total capacity and say nothing about toddler or preschool places.
Not currently operating on this licence

i am sad writing this review because today we picked up my son's stuff because he is not likely going back (pandemic). my family loves TCD. my son was 3 months old when he started here, and he stayed there until last year when the pandemic started. he also had a cousin enrolled there too until they relocated to another country. when making a decision to leave our young infant son, it was really hard initially to trust someone to care for him as if he was their own. since the very beginning, we knew he was in good hands with all of the teachers (Ms. Jen, Ms. Mamatha, Ms. Q and many more) and the director, Ms. Letitia. he loved going to school and loved his teachers. we could see how much he learned and grew over his time there. our son was not an easy one as he has multiple life-threatening food allergies and asthma, but i knew that he was in safe hands and trusted them to protect him (even better than some family!) given his medical conditions, we had open and constant communication with his teachers and with Ms. Letitia, and they were willing to work with us to ensure his safety. we are very lucky to have found TCD, and we would go back in an instant, if it wasn't for this ongoing pandemic.
Kristine ZabalaSep 9, 2021I relocated to the area in May for work purposes. I was in desperate need of childcare services that 1. Was open during the covid19 pandemic, 2. Was close, reliable, safe, and welcoming to my 2 year old son, 3. Was professional and diligent in the care of my child. After having a virtual tour and several email exchanges with the director of TCD, I decided to enroll my son. I personally have not had any issues with the director, staff, etc. It has been a pleasant experience thus far for myself and especially my son. He comes home everyday happy and excited. I was a little nervous at first, as he would cry at drop off in the mornings, but now, 4 months later, he is excited to see his friends, and teachers. I would highly recommend this childcare center! They have been a blessing to us both!
Terry JacksonSep 22, 2020After 4 months of home quarentine due to Covid-19, we opted to bring our children (4 yrs and 2nd grade) back to TCD in July. Best decision ever!!! In addition to providing childcare for children 6 weeks through 5 years, TCD is now licensed to care for school aged children, and is available to oversee MCPS distance learning. Our daughter loves having an experienced teacher work with her one-on-one with her summer school lessons. It's such a relief to have our kids back on a schedule, learning in a nurturing Christ-centered environment. TCD is being very careful about following CDC and MSDE health and safety protocols in age appropriate ways. Our children have been thriving at TCD since 2014 when our oldest was a toddler. The center carefully vets their employees. For example, when on the playground, teachers actively work with the children to foster positive relationships and resolve conflict, rather than standing around chatting. It's also the cleanest center we have ever been at. Additionally, we have a good working relationship with the director, and have never experienced any billing disputes. TCD is an amazing place! We think you'll love it!
Khalisa & Matthew PhillipsJul 31, 2020I've read the negative review one person wrote about Twinbrook Christian Daycare. I don't agree with with their comments, not only is the staff very professional and takes care of the children in a professional manor, the day care manager has always been professional and caring of all the children, in my opinion. When our son was young they alerted us to possible short comings in his development. Because of them, he was able to get the services he needed, he is now on track for starting Kindergarten. They have been flexible during this COVID crisis and have worked with those needing child care, so they would have a safe and caring environment. The Day care manager and staff go out of their way to work with parents, and provide the best care and learning environment for the children. I can't say enough about the manager and staff of this great day care. If you are thinking of sending your child to this day care I would highly recommend sending them here. Our son has been at Twinbrook Christian Daycare for four years starting when he was 14 months old. First, our son is exposed to science class, Spanish class, French, class, Zumba exercise, soccer, and many other activities. I know it may seem too much for little children to be exposed to Spanish or French. But, I welcome this as our son is half Puerto Rican, and we want him to be exposed to other languages. I am updating my review as I take issue with that review that said I was coached. I was not coached in my review and I know other parents who would agree with my review.
daniel McGurtyJul 14, 2020Travis Hartberger's previous review of TCD is an “accurate actual fact based review” that makes me question the authenticity of these statements available in this public online article: Twinbrook Christian DayCare is a ministry of Twinbrook Community Church. We believe that we are called to serve our community in partnership with Twinbrook Community Church (TCC), this day care, and families. The Bible states: “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecc.4:12). It is our vision that those three strands are made up of the church, the day care and the family. As we work together, it is true that we form a powerful bond of support for each child.
Wanda HartbergerMar 15, 2020I am editing this review simply because it appears as though TCD is coaching folks to positively review their center in light of my documentation of their business practices. I hope my truth prevents this from happening to anyone else. I was originally thrilled to have my son at TCD; however, over the course of the past year, I have never seen such abysmal mismanagement and customer service. TCD does not care about their parents, but they do care about protecting their Director’s ego, despite numerous documented instances of lying, miscalculations, miscommunications, and mishandling of day-to-day operations. Despite many attempts to be heard and resolve conflict, the Head of School finds it appropriate to minimize the voice of parents and even demean well-documented instances of mismanagement by the Director. On three separate occasions, my child was subject to termination of childcare without any prior written notice—though this is hard on parents like myself, these actions demonstrate no regard for educationally or socially emotionally appropriate means of transition for a toddler. On two occasions, my child was transitioned to me at pick-up soiled through his clothes without any communication or awareness from present supervising staff that my child was soiled. On one occasion, my child was asserted to be Autistic and that TCD would happily support transportation via the “little yellow school bus” to / from TCD for said services, all without any documentation, assessment data or certified child development specialists to support the Director’s conjecture. On countless occasions, the Director committed damaging communication failures, including lying about CCing both parents on emails as well as disclosing and openly discussing private emails with other parties without the parent’s consent. The Director also lacks the ability to separate personal life from work life—as a fellow educator and customer service provider, personal matters have no place in interactions with a customer, nor should they ever serve as an excuse for failing to serve your customers with dignity and compassion. What I have found more profoundly saddening is the lack of mediation, inaction, and absence of accountability for staff misconduct by of the Head of School. I would consider educational leaders and, especially, leaders of a church community to be mentors and examples of thoughtful mediation. However, this is not the case: I quickly learned from the Head of School’s documented communication (only by email, as he refused to meet, mediate, or return phone calls) that he believes conflict should be resolved completely electronically without any concern for the damage done by minimizing the voices and perspectives of his clientele, including parents of that pay them for childcare—these are means of conflict resolution that do not match how we educate and model resolving conflict with children through listening first to others, honoring the voices to each person before jumping to action or inferences loaded with bias. I am baffled that anyone in a position of power of an institution, a Christian-based institution at that, would model practices that minimize anyone’s voice, demean the clients that keep you in business for your purported service, and seek to protect clear documentation of misconduct of staff members in a position of power. I’m sad to say this is the impression that I am left with, that despite the growth my son has made and that the relationships he has formed with his former teachers and classmates are overshadowed by TCD’s recklessness disregard for their parents, whom they blatantly value less than employee(s) that demonstrate(s) a pattern of completely unprofessional, incompetent management of a childcare facility. In short, if you like paying money to an entity for a service without any accountability for their failure to serve—join them. Otherwise, save your money for a childcare provider that actually cares about how they treat their families just much as they care about their incompetent employees.
