Teachers and staff exceed all expectations – great communication, thoughtfulness in fostering the growth of each individual child, wonderful pre-K curriculum that stimulates curiosity and learning. Music and yoga classes, visits from Maine Audubon experts, and daily lessons and activities that keep our kiddo engaged and inspired. (Don't let the location deceive you-- Chickadee seems to magically transform storefronts into beautiful classrooms that are full of age-appropriate toys and activities, and provides lots of fun outdoor playtime in their lovely playground!)

We LOVE Chickadee! Prior to starting at Chickadee we had never had a daycare experience so we were a little apprehensive when it came time to put our 18 month old into outside childcare. All of the staff and teachers at Chickadee were AMAZING in helping our little girl transition into the daycare setting. They are so great at communicating and keeping us updated throughout the day. It gives us peace of mind and we know that our little girl is taken care of. We also love the curriculum and the focus on learning through play, crafts, and outside time. We have seen so much growth in our daughter since she started. We highly recommend!

Like for many parents, sending my toddler to daycare was a difficult but necessary decision. At his first day there, I was put at ease. My now 2.5 year old has learned so much. The teachers genuinely care about each child and are very communicative about any concerns. The greatest testament to the care they give is that my son gets there and immediately starts playing, being engaged and forgets I ever existed :)

Our son is in the toddler classroom and he is so happy everyday! The teachers are all so knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming! The classrooms are beautiful and developmentally appropriate! And I absolutely love the pictures and videos they send everyday!
