Sometimes it feels like there is a war against parents, and the Children’s Odyssey Team have been our ally throughout the challenges of early childhood. With all of the chaos in our lives as working parents, we really appreciate you. I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for our little one. You have also done so much for us as well! The stress and worry of the first year of daycare is different at Children’s Odyssey than at the other places in our new city. I’ll never forget the first drop-off as I handed my baby to Corrine. She had all of the right words of comfort and support. And honestly, she does every time I bump into her in the hallway despite no longer being a teacher in his classroom. There was a day the lunch I packed just wasn’t enough for his insatiable appetite, and you shared your supply of crackers. There were days when the weather changed and the layers, we sent in weren’t right. I’ll never forget picking our little one up in a borrowed sweatshirt or shorts. It makes my heart so happy when Liz lends him a chewie for the ride home while he is being fussy/teething in the back seat. It means so much to see you treat him like he is yours too. It is without a doubt that Kristen is one of our little one’s favorite people in the whole wide world. I’ll have you know that if we become mega million winners, we plan to share it with Kristen in exchange for expertise in early childhood development and magic butt pats that lull him right to sleep. Thank you for being so much more than a daycare for us. Thank you for the perfect advice about parenting secrets only those with more experience are privy to. Thank you for being a safe place for our little one throughout all of these difficult months. We are so sad to say good-bye to Children’s Odyssey. I know our baby hasn’t been the best napper. I think every adult in the building has snuggled him for a contact nap and helped him blossom in some way. We miss you already!
