  • Great experience. Cleaning all of her gear daily (especially during mud season) was a pain, but overwhelmingly worth it to have her outside so much of the day. She grew a lot in her brief time at the forest, and we are grateful for the kindness and support provided by the staff. Highly recommend.

  • We feel incredibly grateful to have been part of the Fairy Forest school community. From the very beginning, the teachers created an environment that was deeply caring, compassionate, and truly attuned to each child as an individual. Their ability to connect with children and nurture their emotional and developmental growth is something really special. What sets this program apart is its creativity and commitment to learning through nature and curiosity. Every experience feels thoughtfully designed yet flexible, allowing children’s interests to guide the journey. The teachers don’t just follow a curriculum—they build one around what excites and inspires the kids, making learning feel meaningful and joyful. From a personalized birthday celebration to imaginative adventures like rescuing an Ewok in the woods and Star Wars–inspired play, every experience felt meaningful and magical. The graduation Zelda-themed hike—complete with map reading, problem-solving, and outdoor challenges—was unforgettable. This program doesn’t just prepare children academically—it fosters resilience, creativity, curiosity/ fun and a deep connection to the natural world. My son still talks about the teachers and experiences he had and I love that the connections we made have lasted past his graduation. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!!!

  • This place is such a gift! Teacher Josh is a talented early childhood educator who has assembled a wonderful team and built something truly special. The teachers really focus on connection and meeting kids right where they are developmentally, regularly going above and beyond to come up with creative solutions to help children solve problems instead of simply labeling problem behavior. I often see teachers completely immersed in imaginative play with the kids, and it makes me so grateful my child gets to learn in that environment. My child is building social and self-regulation skills, gaining a solid nature education, developing a true love for the outdoors, and is consistently encouraged to be curious about the world around them. We have seen such tremendous growth in our child in his first year there, and that is in no small part thanks to the dedication of the Fairy Forest team!

  • If I could rate 10 stars, I would. We just left our last end of the year Fairy Festival feeling grateful and emotional as we leave fairy forest. Our daughter will start preK next week and spent the last 20 months in this incredible little community that Teacher Josh has built. Teacher Josh and all of the teachers work so hard to meet each kid where they’re at, build trusting relationships with everyone and help even the littlest kiddos start to figure out who they are and find their voice. I watched my shy little girl bloom under the creative and open minded eyes of that team. She came home every single day with signs of growth- whether it was dirt on her clothes or new wild stories about that day’s adventures. It’s been such a gift to be a part of that world.

  • Our daughter is thriving at Fairy Forest. She has never been more excited to go to school and discover the morning provocations. Teacher Josh and all the teachers have succeeded in creating a safe environment for children to play, explore and dream. It is the magical sanctuary that you would want your children to be part of during the most important foundational time of their development. We are so grateful for the time we have there. Our daughter wishes she could stay there "for more years for ever and ever."
