This woman grabbed my child's face to reprimand him, and I don't condone that behavior. She's also known to yell and verbally abuse the children. You can stand down the driveway and hear her yelling at them on a clear, sunny day....my children are traumatized from this lady and her behaviors and dhhs refuses to do anything about it because it's an Otisfield "convenience"......because no one else in the area watches and abuses children for as cheap as she does. She allows children with severe behaviors (ie. Cussing, head pounding, name calling, biting, etc) to continue to attend her daycare, therefore causing the other children to display similar behaviors. She's in violation of Maine childcare laws, yet, because she's a convenience, she continues to get away with abuse, reporting instances, and lack of a regulatory course booklet. Send your kids here and they'll most likely need therapy in the long run.
Luke JohnsonAug 26, 2023I have three young children with her. She always is willing to go above and beyond to keep them comfortable. She adventures with the kids and has them outside in the fresh air. Always doing activities and keeping the kids engaged. I wouldn’t trust my newborns with anyone else. Very easy going and always does what I ask her to with the kids. Willing to work with parents to make it a great experience. Don’t understand these poor reviews at all, because I’ve been to two other daycares.
Rae BallFeb 24, 2021Gave away my child's spot without getting a hold of us or letting us know. When I called to talk about it she hung up. There are chickens free roaming in the kids play areas leaving fesces. Kids usually look absolutely dirty, she is generally in a bad mood and my child said she could be scary when upset. Glad to be gone but I would caution other parents. She may be the only daycare in the town but still not the best option. Good luck everyone.
