My first daughter went to miles of smiles for 5 years and we loved it and felt very safe with her here. Shes in kindergarten now and we still stay in touch w all the students and parents on the weekends. Now our baby goes there and we have another 5 years ahead of us!
Kat AzimiOct 17, 2024Both of my children (now 5 and 6) have attended Miles of Smiles since they were infants. I can’t say enough about them, as they are kind, compassionate, and safety is a top priority. My oldest has several food allergies, and the staff have always taken precautions to ensure his safety. I never worried about leaving him in their care, as I knew he would be safe. My youngest can be a very difficult child. He has ADHD, and has a very difficult time regulating his emotions. I know that anywhere else, he very well may have been discharged, but at Miles of Smiles, they’ve cared for him, and have been so patient with him (and me). Overall, the staff and management team CARE about your child(ren). It is obvious in the way they treat you and your children, and my children have LOVED going here. They are literally a second family, as they have our children more waking hours than we do. 5 stars honestly just isn’t enough for the quality of care they have provided.
Victoria NorrisAug 17, 2024Have been so supportive and nurturing to my child since he was an infant. Amazing staff and environment for learning and growth. My child would have not come so far and be ready for kindergarten without them
Kara ReynoldsAug 16, 2024[TLDR; This place is fantastic! 10/10 recommend] I'm a single mom of two very young children with no family nearby. I had to move back to Maine in the middle of a pandemic and start the arduous task of finding childcare for my (at the time) 5yo and 10 month old while I prepared to return to the workforce full time. There were a LOT of transitions happening, and finding this place was truly an answered prayer. The location is great, the building is clean, the hours are perfect, and the staff is phenomenal. They're consistent in their policies (so I know what to expect), quick to respond, and they truly care about the children that are there. By some miracle they happened to have an opening for *both* of my children and I couldn't be more thankful they did! My son went through a bit of an odd biting phase at 11 months old when we believe he was trying to give kisses. He's a baby and didn't really understand yet what he was doing. I was very stressed about it and they worked with us, coming up with different strategies and plans to do whatever we could to keep him there, while also working to make sure the other children weren't getting hurt, eventually he crossed that hurdle and is a perfectly happy 14 month old boy who no longer tries to bite his baby friends and plays so nicely with them. The fact that they didn't immediately give up meant SO much to me. Both of my children are all smiles at drop off and pick up (though my daughter is sometimes grumpy if I pick her up *too* early because then that cuts into her recess time with her friends), and that means the world to me. I love knowing that when I'm at work they're being well cared for, they're thriving and learning, and they're happy to be there. We just had our first school vacation, and every day my daughter asked me "can we go to school today?" She just really loves being there! Anyway, finding daycares with openings is tough, and if this place has an opening for your child, I'd tell you to jump on it!
