Acorn KinderHouse

When we were unhappy with our daughter’s daycare, I toured countless preschools trying to find the right fit. The moment I walked into Acorn, I knew it was something special and three years later, it has exceeded every expectation. The teachers are genuinely passionate and deeply engaged with each child. The small program feels warm, intentional, and consistent. Our daughter thrived with the daily rhythm of time outdoors, creative play, and caring guidance. We’ve even adopted many of the wonderful Waldorf principles into our home. I can’t say enough good things about this school, the program, and the amazing community of families we found here.

So happy to have found this gem. Acorn Kinderhouse is a wonderful preschool. You can tell the teachers love their jobs and are so knowledgeable about early childhood learning. I had never heard of Waldorf education before this but I’m so glad we were introduced to it in such a welcoming environment.

We found Acorn KinderHouse through the Ducks & Ducklings program. What I love most is it feels like home away from home. I love that the children have a rhythm and know what to expect each day. They get to take morning walks in nature, learn fun songs, feed chickens (and now pet the bunnies), learn how to chop vegetables, bake bread, learn finger crafts, molding beeswax, wet on wet painting, and everything about is natural. Lots of wooden toys to play with indoors & they get to wear cozy slippers, just like at home! The teachers are so comforting to the children when they need a little bit of love. My son needed that. I recommend you try their summer camps or ducklings classes.

We have been very happy with Acorn KinderHouse. They provide a loving atmosphere for children to thrive and we could not have asked for a better experience for our children. They love going to school each week and I feel like they have grown tremendously in their time here, not just socially, but they have gained so much confidence after being apart of this school. I highly recommend Acorn KinderHouse.

We were lucky enough to join this wonderful school a year after our daughter initially started preschool. We loved every moment we were a part of the school. The teachers and staff were incredible and took deep care and interest in the “whole child.” Our daughter has been out of the school for half a year now and she still carries Acorn Kinderhouse in her daily rhythm, she still sings the songs and still speaks of her experience. It is a warm and welcoming place that we still visit from time to time for their events. We are so thankful for our time there and it really has shaped our child’s inquisitive nature and imagination in such an incredible way. We have enjoyed bringing our youngest to ducks and ducklings and still being able to be a part of the community here.
