I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this school. After an incident where my child reported being hit by a staff member, I brought the concern to administration expecting transparency and urgency. Instead, there was minimal communication, no clear explanation, and no meaningful follow-up. I received only an email, no phone call from any staff. The way this situation was handled felt dismissive and lacked the level of care any parent should expect when it comes to their child’s well-being. My concerns were not taken seriously in a timely manner. Staff interactions have also been inconsistent. While the environment appeared welcoming during the initial tour, that was not my experience after enrollment, seems as though they only want your money. School dismissal is at 3:30. I called ahead to inform the office I would be a few minutes late and arrived at 3:36. Wendy that works in the office seemed to have a bit of an attitude when I informed her. The response I received felt unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, this experience did not reflect a supportive, family-oriented environment. Clear communication, professionalism, and student well-being should be a priority, and based on my experience, those expectations were not met.
amber wheelerApr 14, 2026Love the teachers and the structure, they are wonderful. Cannot emphasize how great the teachers and community are enough. However, this year the leadership has turned this from a daycare and preschool that supports working parents to one that shows a total disregard for the needs of working parents. They have added something like 40 extra days off without adequate notice (we received the full schedule Nov. 13) or soliciting parent opinion in any way. There are significantly more days off now then the rest of Bloomfield public schools, and it used to be the opposite. Parents have asked for school's out camps to mitigate these dramatic changes and were flatly told no. No explanation has been offered as to why these changes are being made or apologies for the late notice. Conclusion, if you are a working parent (and don't have 9 weeks of PTO), you may want to consider your options. Many of us are having to turn to drop in care at another facility to mitigate the situation.
