We had so much trouble with this school, especially communication and safety. I would definitely not recommend sending your child here, take the extra drive somewhere else that would benefit them. I eventually pulled my child out but I would do your research.
kayla HolleyAug 8, 2026Dear Mrs. Bruce, I'm sorry you feel the way you do. However, every child in our program has multiple at risk factors; it is a requirement to enter our program. While some risk factors are easy to over come, others may take years to over come. And the Greast Start Readiness Program was designed to give at risk children a jump start into life and skill development. While hitting, kicking, scratching, and biting ate not condoned, they are typical of every early childhood classroom where children are first learning to socialize, share, and control their emotions. Kicking, hitting, and some biting are normal when children are first learning how to use their words with, or around other children. It is our jobs as teachers to help children learn to use their language and teach other children how to cope when they have a conflict with other children.
Braden GalambusJun 5, 2019If interested in the Great Start Readiness Program, find a different establishment. The staff does not know how to deal with conflict between the children. My daughter was bitten, pushed, bullied, scratched and threatened by another child. Despite having meetings and different conversations ensuring they were handling the problematic student, nothing was done and the issues got worse. I had to contact to LPPD and pull her out of the school. The staff doesnt seem to truly care for the safety of the children and more concerned with keeping the numbers for the funding. I liked her teachers and had high hopes for the school year. Very disappointing.
Alicia BruceMay 23, 2019I would not send my kids here. My son was going here and had to pull him out. He would come home every day with marks on him. Had several meetings and things just kept getting worse. Then some things had happened and my son came home saying things that a 5 year old would not know about. When it was brought to the director's attention she called my son a lier and denied ever have been informed about any problems that had been going on . We had documented everything. The school is more concerned about keeping their state found's and someone pulling the race card then making sure EVERY child is safe
