All kids deserve to achieve AT LEAST 1 year growth of learning. Unfortunately my kid didn't experience this here. Progress report #1 was unreadable, #2 promised a bunch of good stuff, #3 delivered nothing. Skills reported were those already acquired pre-enrollment and/or stuff she learned at home. At each and all conferences, we reported where the kid was already at. Asked for data to support their report summary, promised will provide, but none delivered. Last strike, privacy violations concerns. School changed bathroom policy (used to be separated by gender) WITHOUT communication to us (parents). Only found out after I picked up my kid from the bathroom recently. Also, my kid reported that the teacher sometimes sent a group of kids, mixed genders, to the bathroom while the teacher remained in the classroom. School denied, but we are concerned.
Dewi SchumannMar 27, 2024It's hard to put into words how happy we were at Dorothy's over the last ~4 years. We trusted their staff with our kids, just as we do when leaving our kids with family. Even thru all the uncertainties of covid, they did a wonderful job. Our oldest is moving up to kindergarten and our youngest is transferring to Bemis Farms (pre K) because we are moving to Saline. We really wish there was another Dorothy's location in Saline. We are sad to leave, and happy for the years our kids had at Dorothy's, at both locations. Caroline and Dorothy do a wonderful job, along with every other employee we have interacted with. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
