We started our 3 children at Green House in 2024 when our oldest was 4. Prior to this, we have had our kids in two other Montessori programs in different states - Green House is by far the most traditional Montessori school we have had the pleasure of being involved with. There is a clear emphasis on learning, both academically and socially, with the material tailored to the knowledge level of the individual students. There is plenty of time for individual and group play to explore their interests, and we have been incredibly impressed at how much our children have learned in a few short years. They come home and tell us about insects, planets, countries and cultures, Spanish lessons, math, and reading. Something we have enjoyed at Green House is that there is a similarity in teaching style to what I remember from my childhood in the '90s. There's no "gentle parenting" style of teaching, but a more traditional, firmer (yet still very patient and kind) style at this school where students understand the clear boundaries of what is, and is not, acceptable behavior. Additionally, Green House does not overwhelm parents with all the apps that a lot of other schools use to keep constant parent-teacher communication, and instead relies on face-to-face communication at drop off and pick up, as well as a monthly email with all necessary information for the upcoming month. Mr. Raj always makes himself available for any questions or concerns if more communication is needed. Finally, the staff are the highlight of the school. The teachers and the administrators are patient, kind, and thoughtful, and form incredible bonds with the students. We highly highly recommend this school.
Louis JosephJun 1, 2026Green House Montessori School Ann Arbor has been a home and safe space to my children for over six years and we highly recommend to other families. We came to Green House after a negative siutation with another daycare and were immediate accepted and felt supprted at Green House. We love the curriculum, the field trips, learning opportunities, such as swimming and Spanish, that I don't think we would get anywhere else, especially given the reasonable and fair pricing that Green House offers in comparison to other area daycares. Communication is great and we have always felt kept up to date on what our kids are eating, any behavioral concerns, and about the fun they had. Mr. Raj and the entire teaching team give so much love and care and you can tell that kids feel safe there while learning vital social skills. We are constantly amazed at the skills our children have learned at Green House Montessori School and am forever grateful to the entire team!
Brittany ShupeJun 1, 2026My son went to Green House from ages 3-6. He’s a bit on the shy side, but he thrived there. Moreover, the staff are very skilled and compassionate. I’m grateful to Mr. Raj and all the teachers at GH for helping to bring my son out of his shell and give him great preparation for elementary school!
Tem BendapudiJan 25, 2026We were always looking for a preschool which is more than just a day care. Green House is definitely one of the best schools we have ever enrolled our kid in. The teachers and Mr Raj are caring and supportive.. Our kid learnt lots of skills there. He started reading and writing and his maths skills got improved. They also had swimming lessons for kids in every summer. My kid enjoyed his 3 years in the school .
Sayali ChimanpureSep 22, 2025Best daycare I have found. My daughters love all the activities and are still learning so much. I saw a negative review on the indeed side so I wanted to post on the customer side how happy I am with Green House and how much I appreciate the teachers! I know how hard teachers work! I really get a warm feeling and they have such a wonderful vibe here. They really do make a positive impact on the children and give them what they truly need. Sophie/Zoe Thank you and I Thank you !
Green OnionMay 26, 2025Like most parents, we thought long and hard about what kind of daycare we wanted to send our one-year-old to; Green House affirmed that Montessori was the right choice for us. During her time at Green House, we saw her grow and learn so much from Mr. Raj and his staff. She started sitting cross-legged, in a chair by herself, understanding communication, and so many other skills. She so clearly enjoyed being at Green House and playing with the other students. For example, Mr. Raj said she would often crawl over to the older kids, who would then kindly play with and include her. This reflects the culture and vibe that Mr. Raj creates at Green House, where every child is welcome and sweet to one another. Lastly, Mr. Raj was more than accommodating to our family during a unique time that led us to transitioning away from Green House; we appreciate him being flexible and amenable to our situation, even though it wasn't always easy. He has a big heart, and it shows in how he cares for the kids and their families.
