  • Guidepost Montessori is such a special place. My son started here when he was just two years old, and now, at five and a half, he's getting ready to head to kindergarten. During his time here, he has become independent, curious, and an enthusiastic reader. Guidepost has been an integral part of his growth, and the staff does an incredible job supporting both the children and their parents. Miss Elma is a fantastic leader, and we're especially grateful to Miss Leah and Miss Illesha for their loving approach, balanced with strong boundaries and exceptional teaching skills. They are helping shape the kind of future humans we all hope to see in the world. I truly can't imagine a more caring, dedicated group of people to have helped raise and care for my son during these important years. We will miss them dearly. The guides are also wonderful at recognizing and supporting each child's unique personality, strengths, and needs. We will always be grateful for the love, care, and foundation they gave our son.

  • Our two boys have been attending Guidepost Montessori Kentwood for the past four years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The guides are truly exceptional! They are caring, attentive, and deeply committed to each child’s growth and development. As parents, it has been incredibly rewarding to watch our boys thrive in this environment. They are happy, confident, and genuinely excited about learning each day. We’ve seen so much growth in their independence, curiosity, and overall development. We’re so grateful to be part of such a supportive and nurturing community. We highly recommend Guidepost to any family looking for a positive, enriching Montessori experience.

  • We’ve sent our daughters here since the school opened in late 2022 and the guides feel like an extension of our family. Our kids have grown so much and I can’t praise the whole child approach to care and teaching enough. It will be a sad day when our youngest graduates, but we know she’ll be well prepared for anything.

  • As a first-time parent, I was nervous about the transition to daycare, but Miss Tanya was a total godsend. Her experience is deep and it shows—she immediately put my mind at ease. My son is now crawling, walking, and sleeping through a much more stable routine, and I know the environment here played a huge role in that. The best part? He has never once cried at drop-off or pick-up. Seeing him so happy and eager to explore every day is the best peace of mind I could ask for. If you’re looking for a true Montessori experience with a teacher who genuinely cares, this is it

  • Our experience with Guidepost Montessori has been nothing short of amazing. We started our son here as an infant, and now that he’s almost two, we honestly love Guidepost more and more every single day. The staff in Nico 5 has been absolutely fantastic Tanya, the head teacher (incredible), along with Olivia, Priscilla, and Emma, truly care about each child and go above and beyond to create a nurturing, engaging environment. We are going to miss them so much when our son moves up to the next classroom. The administrators, Elma (Head of School) and Ana (Asst Head of School) are also wonderful and make everything run smoothly while always being kind, responsive, and supportive. The feeling of trust and security we have leaving our child here is such a relief as a parent. In fact, we recently moved across town and still make the commute every day because we know Guidepost is in our son’s best interest even though geographically it no longer makes sense, emotionally and developmentally it absolutely does. That alone says everything about how much we value this school. We are incredibly grateful for the love, care, and education our son receives at Guidepost Montessori and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a truly special place for their child.

  • I cannot say enough positive things about Guidepost. Our family found Guidepost a year ago after having a terrible experience at another “early learning center” with “an award winning education program” in Caledonia that we had been at for 4 years that made us feel incredibly gaslit (while they let a 20 year old completing a teaching certificate be in change of a class of 24 3-4 year olds). We reached out to Guidepost desperate for a complete change, and we were so lucky and blessed to have met with Elma and Nicole, the head and assistant head of school, the next day and were instantly convinced this is what our family needed. The first guide we met was Leah, and I will never forgot how instantly connected we all felt with her. Every guide is top notch - kind, genuine, respectful, and well respected by the children. They are exceptionally trained and held to high standards. They communicate so well and make you feel special every time you are in the building or receive an email. The rooms are clean, inviting, and it is actual Montessori curriculum and standards. They arrange regularly scheduled activities for families to interact with each other as well, making it an even stronger community. It is incredible how at ease I feel leaving my children there that I didn’t realize how anxious I was leaving my child at the place in Caledonia. Our son stopped biting his nails and was so much happier with his new class when we made the change. His guides worked so hard with him and constantly praised him or worked with him when he needed reminders or additional support. They ALL feel like family. It’s about a 17 minute drive from our house and worth every minute and mile.
