I Called to inquire and set up a tour; the Lady I spoke with was very direct and "informative". She told me that I could come visit at 4:30 pm because she didn't want strangers over the children(understood). She told me that if I was to arrive at 4:35 she would not be there (I overlooked this comment). When me and the father went to visit on the agreed appointment time a guy let us in the gate, once I placed my foot on the first step, she stopped us at the door and stated where's the baby? Me being confused I told her she never told me I had to bring my toddler with me (we are the parents, and we wanted to feel the place out) she replied " Oh you're going to have to call and set up another appointment to come tour with the child. I told her she should've told me that on the phone when we talked, I would have brought him. she lacked compassion and professionalism and accountability for making me waste my time. I just walked away. She had a very aggressive personality and I'm glad this happened because there's no way I'd allow my child to be in her place of business. She definitely rubbed me and dad the wrong way with her energy and tone and how she handled the entire situation... #Momrantover

PaulAug 27, 2025The Helping Hands Child Care is actually a Learning Center. They build a solid foundation for the children and have fun. The entire Team is absolutely wonderful!! You will not find a better place. My grandson was barely speaking upon entrance. He turned 4 in March and already Kindergarten ready! Kudos to Helping Hands Child Care!!!!🤩

From day one, it was clear this wasn’t just a daycare—it was a nurturing, supportive environment that truly values each child’s growth and development. Helping Hands has played a huge role in building strong foundations for our kids, not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well. Our oldest is now an Honor student, and we truly believe the loving care and early learning experiences at Helping Hands helped set the stage for that success. The staff genuinely love kids and it shows in everything they do. We’re so grateful for the years of support, care, and guidance. Helping Hands will always hold a special place in our hearts. Highly recommend!
Ashley WilliamsJun 7, 2025Helping Hands Child Care was nothing but the best place for my son when we moved back to Detroit. My son was diagnosed with a speech delay at the age of 2 but Ms. Erica and her staff worked with him and before you know it he was speaking. My son attended helping hands for 3 years. He is ending his kindergarten year and received the highest scored on the NWEA math standardized test passing the target score. Not only that but he has been accepted into a honors summer program. This wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for Helping Hands Child Care and the support they have given to my son.
Shauni HankinsJun 5, 2025I HIGHTLY RECOMMEND this Daycare. I have three loving children of the ages 8, 6 and 4. All of them went/go to this daycare since my 4 years old was 4 months, they have been at Helping Hands. I never had any problem; this daycare has always met my children need. They eat healthy meals and provide their own vegetables from their garden. This is not your ordinary daycare they teach the children discipline, good manners and have learning activities daily. I am grateful that this daycare has wonderful management and a caring staff team. You will forever be a part of our life's! Thank you for being awesome in everything you do!
