  • Terrible set of people, I wouldn't allow my enemy take their kids there. They keep lying about my kid health and I always have to go get him every week without refund for days he didn't attend. Lost all my work pto because of them !!

  • After some time has passed I am now ready to right this honest review. I am hoping my review will help another parent protect their child. I enrolled my daughter in 2022 in the preschool room, she was 3 going on 4 years old. (FULLY POTTY TRAINED) She had previously been in 2 other daycares prior with no issues since she was a baby. I had recently moved and needed her closer to home. The initial tour was great and teachers, staff seemed friendly. Enrolled my daughter full time and she had an okay time adjusting to a new place. At first I thought it was just because it was a new place for her. Then things got worse. She started having tantrums going in the morning which was highly unlike her. I was told Nutella was fine in her lunch so I send it one day and when we get home I notice her lunch was NOT touched. I asked if she had ate lunch and she told me she did not get a lunch. I guess Nutella wasn’t aloud so she went hungry that day??? No teacher/staff member notified me. That same week I picked her up and she was in new clothes. I was told she had a accident at nap time and she needed to be changed. (Was not notified again) My daughter told me later at home that she was not tired and that she was crying and the teacher yelled at her to go to sleep then proceeded to allegedly get physical with her. My daughter physically showed me what exactly happened. (I do not have any proof, I am going off what my daughter told me) She then proceeded to have accidents at home, that have never happened in the past!!!! I immediately contacted the daycare and had a sit down with the director (Bill). I was told he “investigated” and that it was found un true from the teacher. Never figured out exactly what happened and we never will….Of course they wouldn’t own up to it. I was also told cameras were not operating said day this happened….how convenient. I pulled my daughter from the school and they had NO PROBLEM giving me all my money back for that month and not charging me anything extra for no notice. And to wrap it up, there is no good security system and ANYONE can enter the building or classrooms. ID’s are not checked. And I have heard countless other horror stories over the past year of this place. Please, please consider another daycare. She was then enrolled in another daycare/school a few months later and THRIVED. She just graduated PRE-K and is ready for Kindergarten with no help from this place. I don’t know exactly what happened and I will never know but shame on Island Kiddie Campus.

  • We started out absolutely loving this daycare. I explained how my schedule shifts every other week and the owner said they can make that work. The teachers are also very sweet and good with the kiddos. Unfortunately, our feelings changed after we decided to withdraw my son due to a change in family dynamics. After calling to discuss a miscommunication regarding withdrawal (they withdrew him immediately when he was meant to be withdrawn after we finshed the remaining week we had paid for) the owner was absolutely nasty towards us. We simply asked about continuing with the remaining time we paid for or receiving a refund. Instead of a "sorry, we won't be able to make that work" the owner was snippy, rude, and basically told us how terrible we were as parents/customers. Which is sad because, up until that point, we had always recommended this daycare. We will not be doing so moving forward.

  • Would not recommend this daycare. We were very nervous to put our daughter in daycare but went for an interview and received a tour of the place by Shirley and felt good about placing her at Island Kiddie Kampus. They emphasized safety and having a daily activities to engage the children in a stimulating environment. This was not the experience we had. My biggest concern was safety. When we first enrolled my daughter, they stated that anyone on the emergency list would need to show their ID before picking up any child, as well as ring the doorbell to get into the building. We provided the steps for my mom and what to expect. When she picked up my daughter, she stated the door was not locked and she walked right in. No one questioned who she was. She then was able to get to the toddler room and take my daughter. As she was putting my daughters coat on, the daycare employee ASKED if she was on the emergency list. She said yes; however, they did not check her ID, they did not check the emergency list to confirm, NOTHING! When my mom told me this, my husband went to speak with them about our concern. Their response was upsetting and discouraging, which is what led to this review. We were hoping for an apology and for them to say they will remind their employee to follow protocol or something...but instead, they did NOT apologize and said we should have called that someone else was picking her up. The upsetting part is that that we were never told during enrollment that we would have to call and because we didn't, that should have been an even bigger red flag to call us before letting someone take her. Their response to that was they weren't there too they aren't sure how things happened. This daycare is more worried about a bad review that actually keeping your kids safe. In addition to this, we had issues with diaper changes. While they charted that they changed my daughters diaper. She came home at 4 pm with crackers in her diaper, which showed she ate those at 11am and (according to the potty chart), she had 2 diaper changes after eating. She wears a onesie over her t-shirts so getting crackers in her diaper is very difficult and even if she did, how did the daycare employees not see those crackers there and remove them the next 2 diaper changes. This place does not like to hold themself accountable, they definitely try to place blame to other people which is very shocking. I wanted to like this place but as a first time experience with daycares, this was a terrible experience. Now we are at a new daycare that has cameras we can check in on whenever we feel like it. We get photos throughout the day and you can tell our kid is happier there. They assist with her eating at the table versus letting her walk around and not helping her like Island Kiddie Kampus...honestly, don't bring your toddlers there.

  • My Son is 2 1/2 and has been attending the Riverview location for a year now, he absolutely LOVES it! The staff couldn’t be any better with the children, every single time I drop him off/pick him up they’re doing activities, reading, constantly interacting with the children in a positive manor. My Son has learned so much since starting here, he was counting in Spanish, saying his ABC’s, and counting to 20 months ago. He loves all the teachers, they truly care about the children and love what they do. The owner Mrs. Shirley is also very involved with the children, my Son truly loves being here... it’s such a relief to not have to worry about him while I’m in class 3 days a week. I know he is receiving the best care here!

  • Literally THE worse daycare ever. My 3 kids, ages 9 months(twins) & 3yrs old, used to attend this daycare. At first everything was perfect, I would drop them off at 6 & pick them up at 5:30 after work. They would be happy so I thought nothing was going on. Then they moved my twins in the toddler room when they turned 1, that’s when everything started going downhill. I was getting calls from work, that my baby was acting out and I would get there and he would be terrified like someone was hurting him. I didn’t think much of it, I assumed he was scared of the new environment. Just to name of few things that happened over time until I pulled them out, to put the kids to sleep they tied them down to the cot, forcing them to sleep, they would be extremely hot & sweaty under the blanket. One time they couldn’t even find my kids because they had forgot what blanket was theirs. An employee dropped my son to where he had a huge knot on his head, then they burned my sons mouth giving him to hot food, AFTER I packed his lunch at home, that did not require heating. Mainly everything happened to the twins, the older kid was perfectly fine in his class. So if you have a older kid who can talk and tell you what’s going on and this is your last place, go for it. But younger kids, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy. FYI this happened awhile back, my twins are turning 5, so hopefully they have gotten under new management and got everything under control.
