  • During 🦠 years, finding daycare was ROUGH. What a fun time to have a new baby and trying to figure out care so you could return to your work in healthcare. NO where had openings- I still have a document where I checked on 20+ daycares with no luck. It was stressful. I finally found one that could take both kids (there’s only so many spots for under 18 months!)… It was an extra 20 minutes away from work. 😮 Which meant I drove **80** extra minutes M-F (unless I was lucky enough to have a patient to see in that geographical area) for 2.5 years. (For the record, I already drive 45 min to work… that’s 3 hours of my day between commute to work and daycare!) Which sounds crazy, is crazy. Even after openings were available closer, I didn’t change anything and I kept making that trek. And I wouldn’t have changed a darn thing. Laugh and Learn Daycare and the providers there (Whitney, Amy, and Kara) are something insanely special. They embrace every child’s differences and help them not only grow, but thrive. I will forever be thankful for not only the care, but the LOVE, they provided. My kids are special, quirks and difficulties and all, and never once did I feel “bad” about that. What a blessing to not have to worry about your kids while you’re away from them. My heart is sad that we are officially “done” at daycare, but so thankful for such a special place.
