  • My oldest kiddo (now 9) attended Learning Bug and now his little brother is in his second year. We absolutely LOVE this small, attentive community and the beautiful learning spaces. There's so much time spent exploring and engaging with nature outdoors, while indoor classroom time is fun and tailored to where your child is in their learning and development. Marylee puts a lot of thought and intention behind developing the curriculum and finding activities for the kids. Beyond academics, my sons learned how to be empathetic and thoughtful members of a school community. Learning how to make choices within well-established boundaries while respecting the space, their classmates and teachers, and themselves was huge in preparing them for elementary school. It really does feel like a family and I feel so good dropping my kiddo off there everyday!

  • How is this child-led learning? Doesn't seem like a kid is allowed to touch anything without getting barked at constantly. I was exhausted four minutes into our tour with how often our guide corrected my child for literally just exploring the area. I would never in a million years feel this was a safe or friendly environment for my child. Uggh, just absolutely awful environment.

  • My daughter attends Learning Bug and will be transitioning to kindergarten in the fall. The staff is so kind and nurturing. You can tell they truly love what they do. The environment is not only beautiful, but is so functional and enticing for all of the kids. My daughter loved spending hours in the art center and playing in the outdoor classroom in the summer. Everything at Learning Bug is thoughtful and intentional. You won’t find another place like this in Oakland County. They are truly exceptional!

  • We had a great experience at Learning Bug. Especially liked all the outdoor time they had in their adorable outdoor classroom. Teachers are great. Highly recommend.
