  • Both of my children attended OrtizEducare for two years. I would highly recommend her boutique and sensory friendly school to anyone interested in a high quality play based learning for their child. She is in compliance with ALL standards regarding best practices and actually goes above what is required to keep her students and staff safe. The school is truly a well hidden gem in Birmingham. Had we not relocated out of state, my youngest would have attended for all of her pre-k years.

  • My child attends Ortiz Educare. Last week he was stripped of his clothing and sent home in new clothes because he got a mustard stain on his clothes. Apparently another student in the center has a severe mustard allergy. I had been sending my son to the center with mustard for well over a month before suddenly being informed of the mustard allergy at the center. When I inquired as to what the protocols were regarding informing parents of allergies I was told "it is rather universal in all schools", and then I was randomly accused of making "all" staff uncomfortable, despite having had minimal to no prior interaction with staff whatsoever. I am very uncomfortable with Ortiz Educare and would not recommend this place to any concerned parent.
