  • I give this Daycare 5+ Stars if possible! I definitely recommend this Home Daycare To Anyone looking for the best care you can find for your child(ren). I would like to start by saying that The Ann Arbor Daycare has been the best choice of childcare for my family from day one. Before moving to Ann Arbor, we had family living in Ann Arbor that had their child enrolled at The Ann Arbor Daycare and had only the best things to say about them. They explained to us about how clean the home was, how friendly and welcoming the environment is, and most of all amount of care and understanding staff showed each day. We were told that the food was delicious and home cooked by the owner Najwa each and everyday and let me tell you it truly is delicious. Another factor that really contributed to us considering The Ann Arbor Daycare was when they told us that their child would come home singing songs, telling them about the fun things they did each day and learned from being there. After finding out we would be moving to Ann Arbor we immediately contacted them and requested to be added to the waitlist. Let me tell you this, from meeting Najwa and staff on the tour to the first day of care we can say that we have been so blessed! Najwa and Amira as well as the staff are one of a kind and caring people you can trust to care for you child(ren) and we are at ease sending our children to The Ann Arbor Daycare each day. Highly recommended I will say the waitlist might be long but hey! Once you meet them you will definitely choose them for care.

  • The staff here are some of the most genuine and caring people I’ve met. They are caring, patient, and clearly passionate about working with children. You can tell they put a lot of heart into what they do and create a welcoming, supportive environment. I would highly recommend this daycare!!

  • I don’t usually feel the need to respond to reviews—but after reading a recent one, I’m honestly baffled enough to speak up. My family has been with this daycare for nearly 10 years. Ten. Years. You don’t keep bringing your children somewhere that long unless they are safe, cared for, and deeply loved. This isn’t just a daycare to us—it has been a lifeline. They helped me advocate for my oldest son while we navigated his Autism and ADHD diagnosis and care plan, and they’ve been just as attentive and supportive with my youngest’s speech and language needs. That’s not “bare minimum childcare.” That’s people who actually care about your kids as whole human beings. This is a family-run daycare, and it feels like one in the best way. I drop my kids off and feel like I’m leaving them with family—not strangers counting down the hours. My children absolutely adore Nawja. The way they talk about her? You’d think she was their grandmother. And let me be very clear: in all my years here, I have never once questioned their care. So when I see extreme one-star reviews, I’m not just skeptical—I genuinely do not recognize the place being described. At all. They are consistent, loving, and invested in these kids in a way that is hard to find. I’ve already reviewed them before, but I’ll say it again louder for the people in the back: this daycare has been a blessing to my family for a decade. Take that for what it’s worth.

  • My child attended The Ann Arbor Daycare about 4–5 years ago and stayed there for around a year, so I want to acknowledge that things may or may not be different now. I originally chose this daycare largely because of the many 5-star Google reviews. Looking back, I regret sending my child there. Below was our experience. Pros: 1 Flexible schedule. They opened very early and closed very late compared with some other daycares. 2. Welcoming atmosphere, which is also reflected in many other reviews. 3. More affordable than many other options. 4. Homemade food. Cons: 1. Severe diaper rash. My child developed very bad diaper rash there repeatedly, about every two weeks for several months. It became so severe that each time she urinated, it irritated her skin and made her cry from the pain. During those periods, I had to wash her bottom every time after she peed, and she also woke up multiple times at night because of the discomfort. I also know three other families who sent their children to this daycare, and all three complained about diaper rash issues there. 2. Limited engagement. Just yesterday, my child told me she remembers that at this daycare, the children mostly played and watched videos. She said the teachers did not seem to care much and did not talk with the children very often. I understand that a child’s memory may not be fully accurate, and I do keep that in mind. However, regarding video watching, another family I know who used this daycare also told me they suspected the children were being shown videos. During the time my child attended this daycare, there were many days when she came home and had hour-long tantrums. To me, that suggested she may have been carrying a great deal of stress from her day there. 3. Limited outdoor time. That said, I understand this may be harder to manage in a home daycare setting, especially with both infants and toddlers. Some people may wonder: if I was this unhappy, why didn’t I remove my child sooner? The answer is simple: I tried. At the time, I called many better daycare options, but none had openings. As many parents know, the waitlists can be extremely long. I did not feel I had a real choice because I needed to work. I am writing this review several years after leaving this daycare because of a conversation I had with my child yesterday, mentioned above. I hope this review helps other families. I wish I had seen a review like this when I was searching for daycare, so I could have had a fuller understanding of where I was sending my child.
