The Discovery Center

We’ve been part of the Discovery Center family for the past 2.5 years, and we’re so grateful that we ended up here. From the start, it’s been clear that the teachers truly love what they do. Our daughters are not only well cared for, but genuinely loved throughout the day. The Discovery Center offers consistent, reliable care and a diverse, engaging curriculum that supports our kids’ development in so many ways. Every time someone compliments our three-year-old’s fine motor skills, we give credit to The Discovery Center. We couldn’t imagine a better place for our girls to grow, learn, and be nurtured.

I feel genuinely lucky that my children get to attend DC. My children thrive there. The staff is peerless in their intentional approaches, their love for the kids, and commitment to great early education. As an added bonus, the community of parents is incredible. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We have been so thoroughly impressed by the preschool program here. The teachers are experienced and kind. The environment is perfectly geared towards preschoolers. Throughout the day, the kids move between the different rooms like the science room, the art room, and the Montessori style room, which gives them structure and variety. Our kiddo especially loves the massive outdoor space. Can’t recommend the preschool program highly enough.

My child has been attending the Discovery Center for a year now. My child has thrived emotionally and her ability to articulate has vastly improved. She has been bullied in other preschools and she has gained so much confidence and more independent than her older sibling. If you are on the fence about having your child attend here, I hope you choose DC because for us it was a worthwhile investment to our child's future.

The Discovery Center is a very special child care center. As someone who has visited many childcare centers in the Greater Kalamazoo area, Discovery Center is the place I trust for my children. The staff at the Discovery Center truly care about children they care for and are creative and innovative with the curriculum and activities they plan. The outdoor space at the Discovery Center is unmatched. It offers so many opportunities for rich sensory play and open-ended nature based exploration. Discovery Center employs a cook who makes home made meals for the children each day. The building is filled with light and has a warm, inviting feeling of home. The center has a dedicated art, science, and gross motor room indoors. I love the true commitment to process art and the way it has fostered creativity in my children. The Montessori inspired activities and environment foster independence and problem solving. Additionally, the community of families and parents is one of the things at Discovery Center that I appreciate the most. There are events after hours that foster strong bonds between all DC families and that the children treasure. I will forever be grateful for this sweet center and the impact they have had on my children.
