My husband and I were extremely disappointed with our experience. We spent significant time researching and touring multiple schools before choosing this one for our three-year-old daughter because we were looking for a positive environment where she could gain more social interaction. During our tour and initial conversations, we were very transparent that our daughter may need a little extra support with speech and comprehension. We specifically brought this up because we wanted to ensure the school would be a good fit before enrolling. At orientation, she was also able to spend some time in the classroom while we completed paperwork, which gave us confidence moving forward. Unfortunately, our experience quickly changed. Our daughter attended for a total of only about 12 hours before we received a call from the director informing us that the program was “not a good fit” and that they could not accommodate the level of support she needed. As parents, we were heartbroken and honestly shocked by how quickly this decision was made. This was our daughter’s first time ever in a group care setting, and like many children her age, we expected there would naturally be an adjustment period. To make such a definitive decision after such a short amount of time felt incredibly discouraging and dismissive. We fully understand that every school has limitations. However, the lack of patience and willingness to allow even a brief adjustment period was extremely disappointing, especially from an early childhood education center that promotes developmental support. If your child has any type of speech delay or may require a little extra guidance or patience while adjusting, I would strongly recommend having detailed conversations about what support the school is truly able and willing to provide before enrolling. Our hope in sharing this experience is simply that other parents can make a fully informed decision before committing to this program.
Amanda HumelsineMar 12, 2026This is an awesome school where the administration and teachers genuinely care about both learning and the children as individuals. The classrooms are clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to help children feel comfortable and excited about school. The teachers are creative and intentional in the way they teach, using innovative activities that help children build confidence and develop new skills. I’ve seen firsthand how clear instruction, patience, and consistency have helped my child grow and truly enjoy learning. The school also does a wonderful job bridging home and school, making families feel respected, included, and supported. You can feel the care, dedication, and commitment to quality education throughout the entire school.
njenkins2Feb 1, 2026We absolutely loved our time at Goddard. Heidi and the teachers who took care of our daughter, including Miss Marie, Miss McKenzie and Miss Heather were absolutely phenomenal. The facility is amazing and very clean. The teachers truly care about the kiddos and our daughter always had the best day there :) Unfortunately, we had to relocate due to location else would not be leaving here. Will miss everyone. Highly recommend! If we ever relocate we will definitely be back!
Inayat GillDec 29, 2025Our son has been attending The Goddard School for almost 2 years now! He absolutely loves it. Staff keep us updated throughout the day with photos of all their fun activities. The students get plenty of outdoor time when the weather permits. They also have an indoor gym when the weather doesn’t. He has learned so much in his time at Goddard - socially, emotionally and educationally. Every time he has transitioned to another classroom, the staff has handled the transition with such care to ensure he is comfortable. We have no complaints and truly appreciate all of the wonderful, caring teachers and staff at Goddard!
Kim PJul 10, 2025Our experience with The Goddard School of Clarkston has been nothing short of amazing! From the moment we enrolled our baby, we felt an overwhelming sense of warmth, care, and professionalism from every staff member. After visiting so many daycares within 10 minutes of being there I knew this was the place for our little one. I instantly felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders. It is truly evident that the teachers and administration prioritize not only education but also the well-being and happiness of every child. Miss Sharon and Miss Marie have been absolutely wonderful. Their kindness, patience, and genuine love for the children is evident. They go above and beyond to ensure that our little one feels safe, nurtured, and engaged in meaningful learning experiences. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that our baby is in the hands of such compassionate and dedicated caregivers. To have caregivers get excited about the developmental milestones of our little one along with us is phenomenal. The level of communication from the school is fantastic—we receive regular updates, photos, and insights into our child’s daily activities, which makes us feel connected even when we’re apart. We truly couldn’t ask for a better environment for our baby. The Goddard School of Clarkston is more than just a daycare for us it’s a second home where our child is loved, encouraged, and given the best possible start in life. We are beyond grateful and would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a safe and enriching place for their little one!
Ashley LorentzMar 5, 2025We started our son at Goddard after moving the the area and touring half a dozen facilities in the area. It has been one of the best decisions we ever made. Within the first month, we not only saw a huge improvement in language skills, but also his attitude and behavior. Heidi and her teachers are absolutely amazing.
