When my family moved to Minneapolis, the person we bought our house from mentioned that many neighborhood families attended Grace. So I scheduled a tour and was drawn in by the creative and nurturing environments and ways in which they incorporate various early childhood philosophies into their program. My son attended for two years - a pandemic baby, he had no previous experience in care outside the home. Every teacher was incredible and quickly became a beloved household name. We utilized the available bus transportation, it was always reliable and made our three-kid morning routine possible. During my son’s last year there we also enrolled him in enrichment programming, which connected him to a larger Grace community as well as the neighborhood and larger Minneapolis community. The Poet-in-Residence experiences created a playful, positive connection to early literacy. My family is neurodivergent and we were still figuring out how my son’s body and brain work while at Grace. The gentle, calm-but-consistent, and individualized guidance and support provided by his primary teacher and all staff provided an unconditionally safe and welcoming environment for him. Most importantly, my son experienced the joy of learning through play every single day. Now successfully in Kindergarten, we still have play dates with dear Grace friends including a kiddo my son initially had a lot of conflict with - they were able to work through it thanks to the classroom community and social emotional skills they learned there. How amazing is that?!
Jessica WalkerDec 17, 2025We absolutely love this preschool! Both of our kids have attended here—one is still enrolled—and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The teachers are truly loving and genuinely care about each child. They build authentic relationships and help kids grow in their own unique ways, which is so important. The parent community is wonderful too—everyone shares a passion for well-rounded education and really cares about supporting one another. We’ve tried all the after-school programs, and my daughter loved every single one of them. The school bus service is fantastic, offering convenient door-to-door pickup and drop-off. Even now, my first grader still loves visiting her old teachers when we drop off her little brother. That says so much about the bonds formed here! This is an incredible community that teaches young children what love, trust, and belonging truly feel like. We can’t recommend this preschool enough!
Haemi ChangDec 12, 2025Grace is the best preschool I could have imagined for my kids. The teachers are incredible, kind and warm, the programming is fantastic! I just cannot recommend them enough. The Discovery Class STEM focused programming that my kids just loved! The Friday field trip program was incredible because the children get out into the community and get to experience all that Minneapolis has to offer. I have Grace to thank for the love of learning that was instilled in my children.
Vaishnavi SubramaniNov 17, 2025We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Grace! when we sent our only only child to preschool, you could imagine we were nervous and apprehensive..... But from the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth, creativity, and genuine care the staff have for every child. The community of parents is great as well and I look forward to chatting with everyone during pick up and drop off. The teachers truly understand early childhood development—they know how to turn curiosity into learning through hands-on activities, imaginative play, and plenty of outdoor exploration! The teachers are always coming up with new, thoughtful ways to engage the kids. and have several different add-on programs as well as field trips, a summer program , and bus service if you're within the radius, which we aren't, but is still a great option! If you’re looking for a nurturing, joyful, and developmentally appropriate preschool with a great parental community , I highly recommend this one. It’s truly a place where our child thrived!
Alexa SethreNov 17, 2025I've sent all three of my kids here, have had one enrolled continuously since 2018, have one more year to go there! ---The teachers are highly trained, enthusiastic, wonderful people who care deeply about their work. Not what you see at the typical daycare/preschool, in the best way! ---There's a bus!!!!!!!!!!!!!! An adorable 12-seat bus with 5-point harnesses at every seat. How INCREDIBLE to not have to do pick-up and drop off!!!! Kids love riding the bus, it is so much easier than wrangling them all the way there yourself. My 3-year-old gets picked up in front of our house at 8:20am and dropped off at 3:55pm. ---It's been a while since I landed here, but it seems like prices are very competitive, especially for the level of care and education you're getting. ---There's a strong sense of community; I have made some great friends here, and so have my kids. Kids come from the surrounding neighborhoods, there are quite a few from Kenwood, which is nice that my kids have had built-in friendships when they got to preschool. So if you're new to the area, I would especially recommend for that reason.
Kelly RybergOct 30, 2025Grace is a fantastic little school full of extremely caring and engaging staff. This is our family’s seventh year at Grace and we are still constantly impressed by the way they weave joy and learning together. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a nurturing environment that allows children to be children and learn through play.
