Lifetime fitness Shakopee is a great gym to workout in. It a very family friendly social environment. The staff is very welcoming and does a great job acknowledging all guest as they enter and exit the building.
Stan JacksonMay 1, 2026I was paying $96 for Life Time Fitness, while I was only using several machines for about 40 minutes every other day for physiotherapy, not taking advantage of all the facilities available there. Despite paying $96, I was only allowed to use the Savage location between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and I did not have access to other locations. I requested multiple times, more than ten times through staff, that I wanted to speak with a manager to discuss possibly adjusting the time restriction. However, I was unsuccessful until finally, today (April 29), I was able to meet the manager. I briefly explained my situation, but unfortunately, the manager, who seemed young and inexperienced came across as insensitive. He did not listen to my concerns at all and simply told me to go to the front desk and cancel my membership. Not only did her behavior disappoint me, but I also found her to be completely indifferent and self centered, with a lack of understanding of how to handle customer service in a business.
Saidmir SadatApr 30, 2026Love the sauna with hot temperature, separate male and female room. Such an abundant steam at a touch of a button in the sauna room, and especially the cold plunge.
Helen JoungApr 1, 2026I echoed a lot of the one star reviews of the Savage Lifetime reviews. I've been going to this location for many years and thought this fitness chain in the upper echelon, not anymore. It's just a high price membership fitness chain with unfriendly and uncaring staffs. They are just to get their paycheck. We brought our grandkids as guests to pool, we were told that we had to be there with them at all times, obviously they are our grandkids we would never do that, later front desk lady went to the pool to spy on us to make sure we do what she said. Wow! This just gives me a bad taste in mouth. What does she think she is, a drill Sargent! She must think we were stupid. Ever since the staffs turnover, there's no human decency or empathy or friendliness anymore.
PollyMar 27, 2026Review of Lifetime Fitness – Savage Location I am writing to formally document a recent experience with the Lifetime Fitness facility in Savage. As longstanding members, my family and I invest over $300 monthly for both my own membership and a separate membership and swimming classes for my three-year-old daughter. On a recent occasion, due to illness, I was unable to personally bring my daughter to her swimming class. I arranged for my wife to take her, providing all necessary membership identification. Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk refused to admit them on the grounds that my wife, not being an active member, could not accompany our daughter. Despite explaining the situation and my willingness to add my wife to the membership or find an alternative solution, the staff member was uncooperative and dismissive. As a result, my daughter, who was eagerly looking forward to her class, was turned away in tears. This experience reflects a significant lack of flexibility and customer care on the part of the facility’s staff. As a paying member, I expect a certain level of understanding and accommodation, especially when it comes to a child’s scheduled activities. The manner in which this situation was handled was not only disappointing but also entirely unacceptable. In conclusion, I hope that Lifetime Fitness will review its policies and staff training to ensure that other families do not encounter similar difficulties in the future. I will be reconsidering my membership if such issues are not addressed promptly.
Mahat MohamedDec 11, 2025If there was a way to give negative stars, I would. However one is the only option! My entire family has been with Lifetime for years. From cousins, extended relatives, all of us. We’ve been to multiple locations, but Savage has always been our “home gym.” We’ve always loved it… until recently. Ever since the big turnover in staff, especially at the front desk and within management, the atmosphere has completely changed. The hospitality, the member first attitude and the warmth; IT IS NONEXISTENCE. The new front desk team does not show the professionalism or basic friendliness that used to define this location. And what really pushed me to write this review is that there was an incident involving the General Manager during an evening shift that left a bad taste in my mouth. I won’t go into details here, but it was enough to make me feel truly disappointed and question the direction this place is heading. Where is the Lifetime Fittness mission statement? We used to walk in and feel welcomed. Now we walk in and feel like an inconvenience. This location used to be the best of the best. I really hope leadership steps in, listens, and brings back the level of respect, service, and care that once made Savage feel like home.
