  • A religious site that is simple and elegant. The art, architecture, stain glass windows lift the heart and soul to God. But the devout and welcoming parishioners are the true treasure of the Church. Mary Queen of Peace has been blessed with many excellent priests over the years as well. The view of the Church spire from the living room window of my childhood home was always a reminder of the presence of God in my life.

  • When we moved up to the Corcoran-Rogers area we wanted to find a local Catholic parish where we felt at home. That was a tall order after St. Richard's in Richfield. Mary Queen of Peace is a friendly parish made up of people of all ages. I love seeing children and babies in church again. The music is excellent, drawing from contempory as well as old time hymns, all played artistically and beautifully. The church is a beautiful testament to the old-fashioned architecture I grew up with and the parish is active. We have regular pancake breakfasts, social time after mass with coffee and donuts, a fall bazaar, and collect items for local charities (CROSS) and appalachian sister parishes. It's an all round, middle of the road church. Nothing extreme one way or the other with a down-to-earth pastor and welcoming community.
