For a first time daycare and school experience, Montessori American Indian Childcare Center has by far exceeded my expectations. The Montessori method, the organization and activities, conferences, my child going on field trips has by far exceeded what I imagined a facility would do for my son and his development. MAICC even provides transportation within the St. Paul area which is extremely convenient and gives me a solution for the mother who doesn't have readily available transportation. Most importantly, the staff are very kind, welcoming, professional and has made the transition smooth. I hope to come here for years to come, and Montessori American Indian Childcare Center deserves more than just five stars. From general discussion with friends and family regarding a typical daycare/school, MAICC does go above and beyond more than the average facility. Amazing facility.
Charles “Chuck”Mar 6, 2024My daughter just graduated from MAICC and during her time there we loved the staff and ongoing support we received. MAICC provided such a strong sense of community, culture and enrichment for their students and families. I am forever grateful for the Staff & the imprint they have left on my daughter. I have a 2yr old toddler that I am anxiously waiting to enroll so she can have the same experiences.
Sandra GarzonApr 18, 2023The Montessori American Indian Childcare Center is a great preschool with dedicated leaders and staff, it is community led and respected and has culturally responsive with indigenized teachings. I highly recommend this school to parents, and to interested teachers and staff who are committed to making a difference for the littlest learners in our American Indian community.
alicia smithFeb 19, 2023I am familiar with MAICC since its beginning nearly 10 years ago. I know of the kind, gentle, nurturing and caring methods that MIACC staff provide the young children. It is remarkable. This type of hands on caring is the Montessori method of education at this school is the nearest thing to an "Indian Education" model that we need for the critical education challenges of our people.
john PoupartFeb 18, 2023I was recommended for my kids to attend MAICC. The childrens room has beautiful curriculum, it's indigenous based and it has great community involvement. Since attending, My children have grown more in love for learning, built great relationships with their Guides, peers, and have participated in many great events with MAICC. We're blessed to have MAICC!
Michaela McKeeFeb 16, 2023My daughter & granddaughter had the honor of attending and graduating from this very critically needed school in our community. I have a four-year relationship with the school, as a parent, as a volunteer, and now as a staff member. Staff have valued me and supported my professional growth, and my family during challenges in our life journey. Our leadership is highly respected in our community. Our leadership’s’ reputation and commitment to the work, and service to community speak for itself.
