New Horizon Academy

3 of my 4 kiddos attended NHA since they were babies. I never once worried about them while they were attending. The staff were like family. They loved my boys as their own! The opportunities for learning and growing that were available were endless! I am so thankful for my 10 years at New horizon academy!!

My daughter has attended since she was 3 months! We love everything about this place. Tarah and Amy run an AMAZING center full of love! We love all of the teachers as well. They are always quick to answer questions and provide insight! Cannot recommend enough!

The experience here was interesting, to say the least. My daughter started daycare here for two weeks, but she became sick during the second week, so she basically didn’t go back after her first week. My husband and I quickly learned that it seemed to be more about money and headcount than anything else. First, when we started, we were never told that there had been a recent outbreak of hand, foot, and mouth disease in the class my daughter would be in. The weekend after she started, my daughter began showing symptoms. Sadly, she passed it on to her 8 month old brother (who does not attend daycare), and he became fairly sick from it. When my husband called to inform them that our daughter was sick, that is when they decided to tell us about the recent hand, foot, and mouth outbreak. As a healthcare worker, I find this incredibly irresponsible and careless. Additionally, on my daughter’s second day during her first week, I went to pick her up and saw a male staff member pulling on her arm, trying to prevent her from going somewhere. I witnessed what was happening, and the moment he saw me, he began nervously explaining that he was pulling her arm because another teacher had left, which upset my daughter. I quickly took my daughter from him, told her to take a deep breath, and helped calm her down. Again, as a healthcare professional, pulling her arm like that could have easily led to an injury, specifically radial head subluxation. Thank God for my mother, who quickly stepped in and offered to help take care of my daughter once I told her about the arm-pulling incident. This experience honestly ruined the thought of ever wanting to consider daycare again.

Tarah and Jodi run an amazing center! My kids are in the school age program but they still have so much fun after school and during school breaks. They alss have family events that are fun for the whole family!

My son attends here and I have nothing but great things to say about them! They are very passionate about the kids and their development in making sure they are well prepared for kindergarten. They keep you in the loop on everyday activities, diaper changes and photos. The rooms are nice and cozy and EVERY teacher is absolutely fantastic! I have to give a special shout out to Ms. Clarissa and Ms Ashley! My son has a hard time at drop offs and he can get pretty upset! These two teachers came up with a game plan to try to make drops off easier, and it is working! They sincerely care about my son’s development and growth. I have no worries leaving him, I know he is in good hands. Special shout to Ms. Jodi and Ms. Tarah everyday warm welcoming greetings with beautiful big smiles. They make sure things are kept together and in order. I would give this place 10 stars. Thank you NHA for being like family to my family.
