My children have been at this center almost 3 years and Gina is really a key part of why I love NHA. She has a genuine passion for what she does and it shows!
Elexus KingApr 10, 2026This is a family center. Everyone is very close, and the center is very well centered in their approach of teaching and leading children. I came here after a not so good run in with another St. Louis Park day care who gave up on my baby, and I needed help. They are very patient, and kind. It’s going on two years since my son has attended & I have no regrets. I love New Horizon SLP!
Jaz WareDec 11, 2025We’ve had children enrolled here since 2019 (two currently and one graduate), and it has consistently been the best fit for our family in the SLP area. The center offers a strong preschool curriculum—our oldest entered kindergarten feeling confident, prepared, and excited to learn. Several teachers hold CDA certifications and know how to challenge students who are ready for more. We love the diverse community and the balance this center strikes: big enough to offer structured learning and great resources, but small enough that the staff really knows our family. The mobile app and curriculum updates keep us connected to their day, which has been so reassuring as working parents. Like most childcare centers, there is some turnover, but we’ve always had dedicated teachers who care deeply about the kids and create a warm, predictable environment. We’ve built wonderful relationships with both staff and other families over the years. After six years, we still feel confident recommending this center to parents looking for a nurturing, educational, and community-centered place for their child.
Emily P.Dec 3, 2025I’d give SLP New Horizon 5 stars anyday . My daughter is in the toddler class and she loves it . The teachers are good with my child and she has learned a lot with only being there for a few months now . I love getting updates throughout the day on how her day went . Also Gina and Liz the directors are GREAT!!!
KristinaNov 14, 2025As first time parents, my wife and I were anxious about putting our kid in daycare for the first time but we have been thoroughly impressed with how well SLP NH has done to get to know our son. Whenever we drop him off, all the staff know his name and say hi, they know when he gets a haircut, and other minor details that show they truly know your kid. We are very comfortable leaving our child in their care knowing that he is safe and taken care of. They communicate well when necessary and do a great job sending us photos of him during the day. We couldn't be happier with Gina, Ms Liz and all the teachers and staff.
Paul KoskiNov 8, 2025Lazy, neglectful and dangerous. Our son (who only attended two months) has now come home with THREE separate injuries with ZERO explanation from staff. I asked him where these injuries came from and he said “they let us fight”. This past Friday when dropping him off I got to witness two separate groups of children in physical fights. The staff sat by and watched and did nothing. First, he came home with a scratch from his ear, down his neck, to his stomach. Another time walked into him being grabbed by the face by another child, another time was pushed from the playground, Now he has a black eye and a scratch. I’ll add photos. Along with them misplacing his glasses and him not having them for 3 days. We have never had any issues at our previous long term daycare. When I brought this to the attention of Gina, the director her response was to tell us take him somewhere else. She blatantly lied to her higher ups about the situation. Gina was more concerned with us considering legal action than she was with our son coming home badly injured with no explanation. Very slimy and sleazy. It was only after we reached out to CPS, and DHS that we were able to make contact with NH management. They know a lot of people have no other option, so they treat you accordingly at New Horizon. Your children are not safe in the care of New Horizon SLP. Update: We have since switched to Kindercare in St Louis Park and have had an amazing experience there. Much better staff, and they have enough staff on-site to safely manage the kids. I would strongly recommend giving them a call before risking your children’s safety at NH
