My daughters went New Horizon when they were younger and once my sister had a baby, I recommended the company to her. My niece attends the Shakopee location and they love it. My sister says that all the staff, not only the teachers in her class are welcoming, but the teachers she sees are so welcoming.
Brian TerwedoJun 4, 2026I bring my infant niece here and we absolutely love it! She is thriving and loves coming to school every day. The infant staff members are so kind and caring.
StinaJun 2, 2026The school is wonderful. We are so happy to have our daughter in the infant room. The teachers take such good care of her and the other infants in the room. They truly enjoy what they do. The rest of the staff is amazing and the communication from the team is great. I always know what kind of day my daughter is having just by the notifications and pictures I receive.
AprilApr 27, 2026New Horizon Academy is one of the best daycare centers in MN. They have kind and caring staff, and a deliberate child development program. I've personally used them for three of my children and always had a great experience. Their use of the Procare App is an awesome tool that let's me monitor what happens throughout the day. It is particularly useful for infants as it keep track of diaper changes, feedings, and nap times, making the transition from daycare to home much easier. They also have a system that allows you to enter morning activities prior to drop-off, which supports the continuity of care between home and the Academy. The Directors at the Shakopee Academy are very communicative, letting us know about important classroom events and most importantly any illnesses so that parents can keep a closer eye on their children for any symptoms. Overall, our experience has been excellent! Would definitely recommend them...especially the Shakopee location!
Eric HansonApr 27, 2026My son has attended New Horizon for almost 4 years, he is in the school age program. My son has had a hard time in the past connecting with teachers due to his ADHD and New Horizon had open arms and so many resources available to help him settle in. He enjoyed all the field trips, they went to lots of playgrounds, indoor and outdoor, Crayola World, Sustainable Safari and more! My son will be aging out soon and we are sad to have to find other care once that happens!
MaggieApr 27, 2026I have been very happy with my son's time at New Horizon in Shakopee. It's a scary feeling as a first-time mom to leave your child with strangers, but the staff were communicative and friendly. Everyone knew our names and our son, and he started to want to go to his classroom in the morning. It soon felt like leaving him over at a friend's house rather than at a center. I was impressed by the cleanliness and quality of the building, furniture, and toys during my initial tour and that's why we initially chose them, but the staff really won me over.
