  • All three of our kids attended daycare here, and we had the best experiences. We loved the small size of the day care, excellent staff, and intergenerational experiences with the nursing home/assisted living residents. Our kids have such fond memories of day care!

  • My son has been attending this daycare since he was just 3 months old, and he’s now almost 3 years old. I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and support they’ve given him throughout these early years. The program uses a hands-on learning approach, which has been wonderful for his development and curiosity. Every teacher we’ve encountered has been caring, patient, and truly invested in the children’s growth. There’s a saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and I’m happy to say my son is growing up in this village. From the director to the teachers, I have nothing but great things to say and truly appreciate their direct impact in my sons life!

  • We’ve been sending our child to this daycare for over a year and couldn’t be happier. Our daughter is sad when it’s the weekend because she doesn’t get to see Soozee, Tammy, and Jessica (teachers and director). This daycare is in the middle of a nursing home. The facility is a little run down but the kids rooms are bright and nicely decorated. We like the fact there is dedicated staff for cooking and cleaning and in case of an emergency there is a nurse nearby. The kids do get to interact with the seniors. Last week the seniors did a puppet show for the preschoolers. The cost is very reasonable and the class size is small. They are provided breakfast, lunch, and snacks which is included in the tuition. They have weekly themes for learning. My favorite was bear week. They learned about bears and at the end of the week the dressed up as explorers and went on a bear hunt. At the end of the hunt they found a bear cave with teddy grahams. Kids get outside each day that the weather allows. When kids arrive they must wash their hands which greatly reduces illness. They also helped support potty training for toddlers (other centers we went to did not do this). The staff is incredible and really cares about the kids. Jessica is super helpful. We have never gotten a report about our kid being bit (happened weekly at other large centers). They do let us know when an incident happens (usually our child being so excited and running into something). Our child has bloomed since coming here. She has developed good manners, been potty trained, can identify letters, and her speech is amazing (was speech delayed at other centers) and she isn’t even 3 yet. There are no screens in the rooms besides an iPad to document photos and what the kids are doing in the day. They will occasionally use them for short educational video or song (parents are told when this is happening). Other centers I caught using the daily. Only other con is the facility isn’t fully locked down because it is a functioning nursing home. Kids are mostly kept in their class and we have had no security concerns in the year our child has been going here. So if you want a diverse staff and class rooms, reasonable price, small class sizes, and an expansive multi-generational education then this place is for you and your kid! I won’t post any photos because I don’t have permission to share pictures of other children at the center. But attached are pictures of the school mascots, local turkeys which love to visit.

  • Our child has been going to this daycare for over a year. She spent most of that time in the toddler room. The staff is exceptional! They are very communicative and creative in their weekly lessons. We’ve had a week where kids explored colors, bugs, magnets, and cleaning (we really liked this because our daughter wanted to clean all of her toys at home). The class sizes are very small but cost is very reasonable for a center. The facility is slightly run down but that’s just because it’s in the middle of a nursing home. The teachers have made each of their rooms very bright and perfect for the kids to explore. The kids are fed breakfast, lunch, and snack. The food is made by the nursing home staff which we like because it’s an established kitchen staff which must follow rules for both a daycare and nursing home. Our daughter has bloomed at North Ridge. They helped support potty training, teaching manners, and learning letters. So if you want quality care, creative play, small class sizes, and reasonable tuition this is the place for you!

  • I love this daycare!! Its licensed and they on many days they have more staff then little ones. My granddaughter's teacher is a licensed teacher. Plus the whole daycare is managed by Jessica Peters who is a licensed director who used to be in charge of all preschool for Minnetonka schools. I happen to work at North Ridge so it is super convenient for me. But even if I didn't work here I would want my babies here. The education level is great, they really care about their kids, and the kids get to interact with their "grand friends" (our residents) which makes it a really intergenerational experience.

  • Beware the daycare director Jessica (Jess). Jessica has unethical billing practices and she is also very unprofessional. It took about 3 months to get our children enrolled into daycare here because of Jessica’s lack of communication. My husband and I both had to go in on separate occasions to see if we had any progress regarding enrollment because she does not respond to phone calls or emails unless there is a billing issue. We had this happen and I had to work with HR and the billing office in order to get charges reversed and corrected because Jessica refused to do so herself without the threat of legal action. If you are to sign your children up here make sure that you receive a copy of everything that you sign because you are given a different take home packet that is separate from theirs. Besides the horrendous management on both the daycare and long term nursing home sides of things, the teachers in the toddler room were amazing. Since the new director Jessica several long term teachers have quit, and one retired. These were all teachers that were from minority backgrounds as well, so now there is limited to no diversity among the staff. If you are okay with these things then it will be a great place for you and your children. As with all other daycares, our kids were sick almost every other week even though the class sizes were limited. Switching our boys from this daycare was difficult, but I’m thankful they are now at a more professional facility where I will no longer need to worry about the issues that we had with North Ridge.
