  • Our family LOVES PEEC. Our son (almost three) has been in the toddler room for almost a year, and we can’t say enough good things about the people, the place, and the learning. We’re a queer family and have found PEEC to be a very affirming environment. Ms. Soraida made potty training a breeze. Our son comes home with new words, a bounty of art projects, and sweet stories about friends every day. It’s such a comfort to know how loved and engaged our little kid is when we’re not with him.

  • PEEC is a blend of all the best parts of in-home daycare, daycare centers, and preschool. The two classrooms are small, and my child gets loving attention from all the staff, similar to what we have experienced in in-home daycare. The days are structured in that they follow a schedule involving art, movement, outdoor play, freeplay, meals, and nap, but they have never felt restrictive for my family. PEEC's placement within Pillsbury House has enabled it to connect children to local artists (who also love engaging with the kids!) in ways I (and perhaps most centers) could ever coordinate myself. My child has learned how to be a considerate member of a community, how to write his name, and how to speak bits of Spanish and ASL. He has made friends he is fond of (most of whom who live near us and PEEC), and I have made meaningful connections with other parents/caregivers. My child and I will miss PEEC when he "graduates", but he will leave being more than fully prepared--socially and skillfully--for kindergarten.

  • We love PEEC and, more importantly, our kids love PEEC including all the staff and their peers. I also have found that the staff seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, which is of course important and I think speaks a lot to the facility as a whole.

  • Our daughter started at Pillsbury at about 18mo old and really grew under their care! She was ready for the structure and the social experience. The instructors are kind and clearly care for our daughter. The arts activities they do are inspirational. We love Pillsbury and are so happy to have this local resource.

  • I can’t say enough good things about PEEC! We love having our toddler here. They are so loving and warm with the kids, clearly happy to be with them. I always feel confident that our daughter is safe, engaged in enriching activity, and learning exactly what she needs to. Her social skills and confidence have blossomed here, and she brings her learning home which we really appreciate. She is always happy to arrive at school and loves telling us how much fun she had that day. She loves her teachers and we do too. Every day is a good day at PEEC!
