Primrose is an incredible school with fantastic educators. Our 2 year old has loved every moment of her experience there and we highly recommend it. As a former early educator myself, I was apprehensive about where to take my daughter and they have surpassed my expectations. Please give them a try and you won’t be disappointed!
Courtney LeemonNov 21, 2025Leaving Primrose School of Rochester is truly bittersweet for our family. Both of my daughters had the privilege of attending this incredible school, and as we prepare to move, it’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are for the years we’ve spent here. From the very beginning, the staff and leadership team upheld the highest standards — not only in academic excellence, but in emotional and social development as well. They guided my children through some of the most formative years of their lives with such warmth, professionalism, and care. Their outstanding curriculum sets Primrose apart— fostering growth through play, emotional intelligence, creativity, and curiosity. As a parent, there is no greater comfort than knowing your children are safe, loved, and thriving — I was able to head to work each day with complete peace of mind, trusting they were in the very best hands. The entire team was also incredibly responsive and supportive — always accommodating our needs and going above and beyond, especially when it came to my younger daughter’s food allergies. I always felt heard, respected, and supported in my parenting choices. We’re heartbroken to say goodbye, but we leave with so much gratitude in our hearts and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Primrose, for giving our family the best start possible. :)
Megan HartJun 2, 2025Primrose is truly our kids' second family. We feel so fortunate to have them as part of our village. It’s amazing to watch our children thrive in such a nurturing environment. They feel completely secure here, not just with their teachers but also with the entire leadership team. Everyone knows them, cares for them, and makes them feel special. Despite the many children enrolled, the leadership team goes above and beyond to ensure each child feels valued, safe, and supported. We couldn’t be more grateful for the love and attention they provide!
Suzanna KisaMar 17, 2025Primrose feels like a second home to us, and we’re so grateful to send our kids to this school. Our kids absolutely love coming every morning and feeling safe and comfortable around everyone. Thank you so much for everything you do, and keep up the amazing work! 🙏🏻❤️
Sapir DaganJan 13, 2025This is hands down the BEST daycare in Rochester! My husband and I are new parents and were hesitant to start a daycare. We were initially under the impression that our baby staying home with us was the best care that he could receive. That was until he started going to Primrose! The Montessori education is top notch and my husband and I are learning baby sign language and mimicking the same hands-on learning activities at home because they are so great for baby's development. The engagement and enthusiasm of the Director, teachers and staff with the children is AMAZING and everything you would want your baby or child to experience. The teachers (Ms. Kidd, Ms, Franklin, Ms. Christenson) in the Infant classroom are everyday wonder women! They love the children so much and provide numerous daily report outs of all of the activities, meals, etc. - with pictures and videos too! Whether it was coordinating an enrollment date with Terra, preboarding/onboarding with the Director, Jen, or checking-in daily with Jamie and Jessica, the Primrose team has been kind, supportive, knowledgeable, extremely professional, and understanding of us as new parents. We are SO THANKFUL that our baby is at Primrose - WE LOVE IT!!
Mary MunchJun 26, 2023My 4 year old son had a period where he was a little aggressive. His wonderful teachers worked with us to help him make some big improvements. By their own account, he was doing wonderfully. This continued even after the great teachers quit and the replacements were… not as great. A few months later, he got sick (needed surgery). He had a couple rough days spread over a few weeks. Then, suddenly, and *completely out of the blue* we got a call from the director stating he was expelled. Immediately. She claimed that they’d done all they could do. She claimed that they’d been communicating extensively, calling with concerns, sending emails, etc, etc. Unfortunately, that is 100% false. There were no emails, there were no calls (I double checked). At best, the director mistakenly thought someone was communicating when they weren’t, and a kid got expelled suddenly for struggles directly related to a reversible medical condition. At worst, she’s a scrupulous liar. In any case, not the kind of person I’d trust the well-being of my child to. About the rating of 2/5 stars - some of the staff deserve 5 stars (Ms. Jaime, Ms July). Some teachers were simply okay. So -1 star there. Expelling my kid? Not necessarily a problem. Sometimes it’s the right thing to do. Expelling any kid because their temporary medical problem is inconvenient, then lying about it, -2 stars (at least) there.
