River Valley Montessori of Shakopee

We absolutely love Shakopee River Valley Montessori! Our son has been enrolled for over two years, and he has a wonderful time there. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, ensuring the kids are safe, engaged, learning, and having fun. They work closely with both our son and our family on a personal level, helping him reach important milestones and making sure the routines and habits we practice at home—like eating, potty training, social skills, and overall development—are reinforced at school. The activities the teachers plan are truly exceptional. From growing plants in the garden to coloring a Thanksgiving table runner, they create hands-on experiences the kids adore. Our son’s all-time favorite was learning about maps! I can’t speak highly enough about this center. If you’re unsure where to bring your little ones, I promise you won’t regret choosing this place!

We absolutely love River Valley Montessori! Our daughter started in the toddler room and has been so happy to "go to school" every morning. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, and my daughter’s teachers take incredible care of her every single day. They do so many creative and engaging projects that foster learning, curiosity, and also a lot of hands-on self-directed "work time." I really appreciate how easy it is to communicate with her teachers. They’re always available to touch base and keep us updated. It’s also so much fun to see her photos and daily updates through the app, which makes us feel connected throughout the day. River Valley Montessori is truly an amazing place, and we are beyond grateful for everyone there :)

River Valley Montessori has been home to my family for the last three years. In those three years we have seen very little staff turnover! I have had children in each of the departments and have no complaints. They did go through a change in ownership about a year ago. We were all nervous about the change, but not much has changed with the day to day processes. The new company has provided new classroom supplies and equipment. They have listened to parent concerns with the parent app and additional fees and have made changes in our favor. I am so glad I found this school!

My daughter has been attending River Valley Montessori since she was in infants and now in preschool, it’s been 3 years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. The environment is warm, welcoming, and truly aligned with the Montessori philosophy. The teachers are incredibly patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children’s growth, both academically and socially. Highly recommend River Valley Montessori to any parent looking for a place where your child can blossom in a peaceful, stimulating, and supportive environment.

My daughter has been going to rvm since she was 6 weeks. She loves going to school! She loves her teachers and getting to play with the other kids. It’s hard to let them her go in care of someone else but it makes it so much easier knowing she is in a loving environment and enjoys going. Can’t say enough nice things about the teachers.
