My kids love going to school here! Wonderful, kind staff/teachers who care for them daily. They all know my kids, even if they are not in that particular classroom. Lots of learning with indoor and outdoor play. Always fun to hear about their adventures each day - new songs, projects, Montessori skills, games etc.
Brooke SahliAug 5, 2026Both of our children attend to Step By Step Wayzata and have since they were infants. We love the close knit community, Montessori style learning and of course, the wonderful staff. All of the teachers deeply care about the children and lead with kindness and respect. Our kids absolutely thrive in the environment and we are always so impressed with what they come home with - independence, stories, songs, new skills and knowledge. This school has gone above and beyond for our kids and we are so thankful we’ve found a second home here.
Douglas CJun 28, 2026We love Step by Step! We moved to Step by Step after a not-so-great experience at our first day care center and have been so happy with the transition! The staff loves our kiddos so much and we have loved watching them thrive! The growth our kids have experienced in such a short time at Step by Step has been incredible to see and we are so thankful for the time and effort the staff puts into helping the kids grow.
Courtney JohnsonJun 23, 2026Step by step is family to us - my oldest started here 3 years ago and my youngest is in the infant room now. It can be so hard to trust that your kids are getting the love they deserve every day when you’re dropping them off at a daycare or school. I know that my boys are in the best hands here. The teachers are excellent (and patient) and they love their kids. It’s palpable and the boys look forward to school everyday and my oldest complains if I arrive too early 😂. Having seen all of the classes at this point - infant, toddler, children’s house - It’s been so wonderful to see the social and now educational impact Step by Step has had on the boys. I’ve been recommending Step by Step for years, and I will continue to do so.
K LJun 18, 2026Love this school! We’ve had a great experience and my children are learning so much. I especially love all of the outdoor time for the kids. On nice days they even move the desks outside! My preschooler loves the garden her class is growing and enjoys helping tend to the plants. The teachers and directors are very caring, and I’d recommend Step by Step to anyone looking for a warm and safe environment for their children.
Rebekah HarrisJun 16, 2026We love the warm and intimate atmosphere that is created by the spaces and staff. The children seem to be known by all the teachers, regardless of age or classroom, which makes it feel like a little home away from home. It also instill confidence in us that they are being well cared for, regardless of who is present.
