We absolutely love Thrive Child Care! Before finding Thrive, we went through multiple in-home daycares and centers. Thrive is truly set apart- from the moment we walked into the building, we felt at home. The staff are so welcoming and kind. It’s a smaller center and most everyone knows my son. They say good morning and goodbye to him in passing every day, and it feels like our second family. Each of his teachers truly love and care for him so well, and he loves it there too! It is clean, they do great activities, and the attention to detail with everything is amazing. We even had a personalized transition plan for my son based on his needs when he moved from the infant room to the toddler room. I feel so good dropping him off every day because I know he is safe and thriving there. We are so very thankful that we found Thrive!!!
Emily PikeAug 30, 2023My daughter went here from infancy to age 4. We only switched so she could attend preschool with kids that would be in her kindergarten class. I can say that Thrive is special. I never once questioned my daughter's care when she was an infant. As she aged, she was able to participate in many fun activities throughout the day. The preschool classes had "mini sessions" where they learn about different things such as "building, sand, clothing etc". They also do fun craft activities with painting with different substrates. The teachers are kind and caring. We truly miss Thrive.
Amber KlindworthFeb 9, 2023Sending our daughter to Thrive was one of the best decisions we made as parents. The staff are amazing, engaged, thoughtful, and devoted teachers. It means a lot to be able to send your child to a place every day where she is not only safe and her needs are met, but a place where she is loved and cherished. The staff are open to conversations, to working towards goals together (for example - potty training) and are all genuinely lovely people that I looked forward to chatting with at the end of the day. The classrooms are spacious, clean and organized with plenty of fun and interesting activities for the children. My daughter matured and grew so much during just one year at Thrive; her confidence, skills, language and personality blossomed under the attentive and supportive guidance of her teachers. I would often see Tanya (the director) in the classroom playing with the children when I would pick up my daughter in the evenings. The staff were always considerate of my feedback and feelings as a parent. I should also mention that I was very impressed with how they handled everything during the pandemic - diligently following the most up to date preventative protocols, and being extremely consistent and reliable in terms of communication and service. I especially want to mention the following teachers whom I got to know the most: Becky - Truly outstanding, really takes the time to get to know your child and their unique personality, great at communicating with parents. Ashley - Caring, reliable, responsible, loved by my daughter, and so much fun! She even babysat my daughter one evening when I had to work late and I had no other form of childcare. Ali - Loved by all the children, helpful, supportive, kind. Other than the excellent childcare, what makes Thrive so special is the community they create amongst the parents. We feel very lucky to have been part of it.
Malavika SureshFeb 26, 2021Wet love it here. Staff are friendly and care about kids. They go out of their way to make things welcoming and work hard to make it a family resource center as well as s childcare. The teachers work with kids on social skills as well as teaching them age-appropriate things like "fall" or "fire-safety" (with activities, art, and books) in addition to the obvious things like potty-training and playing. We get regular parent-teacher conferences, Dailly feedback about what's going on, and monthly family nights (or did, pre-covid) and the teachers are really eager to help the kids based on parent feedback as well as their own observations. I've also observed that the staff are really good with kids and mindful of them. One of my parents worked with kids in elementary schools for a long time and I've seen the particular Indi some people either have it develop when it comes to young kids and people at Thrive have it. I've never shown up and not seen the staff paying attention to the kids or ignoring needs (physical or emotional). The fact that although a lot of kids are unhappy to be dropped off in the morning (although they also seem unhappy to leave at night, go figure), they almost all seem a lot happier when a teacher offers a hug (generally, crying stops right there, or if not, pretty quickly when the teacher gets the kids interested in an activity) is telling that the staff are really concerned about and protective of the kids and the kids love the staff.
John Moore-WeissSep 29, 2020I volunteer at Thrive and love the atmosphere there! It is a small center so teachers and children seem to really know each other well. I’ve see both children and teachers pop into the director’s office to say hello, play with a few toys (children), or ask a question. The activities look fun and engaging, and the center is always clean and well organized. I’ve also appreciated the support the Thrive team has given to families when needed or requested. This is a special touch that, in my opinion, is unique to Thrive!
Karen Trewartha-WeinerAug 15, 2019Our kids absolutely love Thrive. It is a wonderful feeling dropping them off each day knowing that they are well cared for and loved. All of the staff at Thrive greet you and your kids with a smile. At the end of the day, they communicate so clearly about how our kids' days went. We could not ask for a better daycare environment for our kids. Thank you Thrive!!!
