Tierra Encantada - Bloomington

I was excited at the prospect of a Spanish immersion daycare and appreciated the beautiful new facility. Unfortunately that is where the good ended. After coordinating with the director, I told the director the day and time of when we would arrive for the first day. On the first day, I use my door access to access the building. The front desk was dark and empty. I double checked the times on the door and the center had been open for 20 mins. I called out and wandered the halls to find it dark and empty. I turned on the lights as I looked for an employee. We sat down in the lobby and waited. Finally, I decided to go explore the lower level of the building in another attempt to locate an employee. I was able to locate a lone employee in the kitchen. The kitchen employee was flustered and confused as to why I was there. The kitchen employee then said I could leave my child with her. The kitchen employee stated she was the only employee on site. I said I did not feel comfortable and asked her to have the director call me. When I left, the director called me and left me a message essentially blaming me for not feeling comfortable leaving my child and blamed being under staffed. Was the lone employee going to watch my child while cooking breakfast? What if the employee had to use the restroom? What if there was a medical emergency? The owner then reached out to me with an email written by ChatGPT which did nothing to address my concerns. I withdrew my child before she could even start her first day.
