  • Tierra Encantada has been wonderful for my family. My son has been enrolled for nearly three years now, and every time he ages out of one room and into another, we’re sad that he’s leaving behind one set of teachers, only to discover that the new set of teachers is just as fantastic. Spanish language immersion is such a gift, and I feel good knowing that my son is growing up with an additional skill, an additional way of communicating, and an appreciation for other cultures. He has learned so much — socially, educationally, and developmentally. Tierra Encantada is also great because it’s all-inclusive. I don’t have to pack snacks or lunch for my son — all food is prepared fresh onsite — and I didn’t have to bring crib sheets when he was a baby. The only thing you have to bring is formula when your kid is an infant and of course a change of clothes, but you keep that at school. We walk out the door in the morning carrying nothing. The teachers are all so creative and invest so much in my son and his well being. Between the decorations they put up for the holidays, the end-of-day dance parties they initiate, and the twice yearly parent-teacher conferences, it’s obvious just how much they care. Another (small) perk is that, not wanting to fall behind my son, I’ve been learning Spanish myself. I’ve always regretted knowing only one language. It’s been empowering to learn a new language and be able to communicate with his teachers in Spanish (at least a little bit — I have a ways to go). TE also has long hours — 6:30am to 6pm — and is rarely closed. My friends’ kids’ daycares are closed for a couple weeks in the summer, but not TE. It’s also open on many federal holidays.

  • Tierra Encantada Minnetonka has been like a second home for our family. The loving staff provides exceptional care, and our children have thrived in the warm, welcoming environment. They work with each child to address their unique needs to ensure they are learning and growing. The center is always bright, clean, and cheerful, with nutritious meals that we feel good about. It’s been a gift for our children to learn a second language. We highly recommend Tierra Encantada Minnetonka.

  • We have been with Tierra Encantada -Minnetonka since it opened 4 years ago. The business has had its own growing pains, but those of us who stuck it out through the pandemic and beyond have rolled with them and witnessed the formation of a solid business and community. As two working parents, we really appreciated the long hours of the business. Any of our concerns have always been adequately addressed. The ProCare app has been useful for getting snippets of our kid’s day for the past 4 years. Over all, our son has had a great experience. We are grateful to have been afforded this time with TE-Minnetonka and feel that they have prepped our son well for Kindergarten. He has been supported, taught, cared for, well fed (yummy food and snacks) and most of all, loved. Equally important is that he’s had a lot of fun! Though we are sad to see this chapter closing, we remain grateful for this community and know it will continue to thrive. Thank you to all the teachers, aids, owners, cooks, and administrators. We will miss you all. We hope incoming parents and kids will love their experience just as much as we have. And with that, our family’s chapter closes and hopefully yours is just beginning at Tierra Encantada-Minnetonka. Nos Vemos!

  • We love Tierra! The teachers love our little guy so much. Our son has been there since he was 5 months old (he’s now 20 months). There can be a language barrier but they’re always willing to help us figure out anything. We’ve toured a number of other places just because we moved further away from Tierra and just cannot find anything that seems to feel as comfortable. We’ve found the teachers to be more seasoned and professional than anywhere else. Plus, the menu for what they eat is AMAZING! They eat bolognese and white bean pasta and tons of amazing things that open their minds to different food. Now that our son is in the toddler room he comes home with a different project everyday. If culture and diet are important to you, we 100% recommend Tierra.

  • Leaving your child in the care of someone else was really hard for our family; but having our son at Tierra Encantada has been the best choice we´ve made for his care. Their food menu is healthy, lots of fun activities that vary from all kinds of crafts/music and arts. The teachers are so loving that you can see them as part of your family too but mainly... our son is happy every day we pick him up which is what keeps us happy as well. Our family highly recommend Tierra Encantada !!
