We have had such a good experience with Tutor Time. Our son started attending part time when he was about 8 months old, and he is now full time in Toddler 1. The teachers have all been such positive caretakers for him. Miss Steph took such good, gentle care of him in Infant 1 and was patient with my mom anxiety as we transitioned to daycare for the first time ever. My son still likes to smile and wave at her when we see her. Miss Denise and Miss Madeline were so kind, loving, and fun for the babies in Infant 2...seeing Miss Denise at the start of his day always eased my son's morning, and cuddles with Miss Madeline in the rocking chair were one of his favorite parts of the end of the day. He absolutely gets a kick out of seeing them now. And Miss Marjuen is so kind...I happened to be checking in on my son via the video feed one day when he was in Infant 1, and I saw her gently tickling and playing with him, and he was LAUGHING so hard...clearly having a blast, which put my heart at ease. She treated him like an auntie would and I will never forget it. One day Miss Destiny swooped in when my son had a hard time eating something last year, and I will always be grateful for her quick reflexes and protection. At the time my son was old enough to transition up, there was not a full time Toddler teacher yet, so for a while he spent some time in Toddler 1 and some time in Twos. Miss Tashonda is a calming presence and makes a fun Twos environment, and Miss Hodan practically radiates gentle love. Miss Hodan was a saving grace when my son was going through a really rough bout of separation anxiety. She is one of the only non-family members my son has ever willingly left my arms to be held by. Now we are really fortunate to have Miss Helena running Toddler 1, and she is so skilled. She's calm, centered, kind, and always creates fun and engaging activities for the toddlers. The Toddler 1 classroom is a unique mix of children with varying degrees of maturity and development (some in diapers, some potty training, etc.) I would probably lose my mind trying to meet everyone's needs, but she somehow runs it all so smoothly and makes it fun at the same time. My son's separation anxiety disappeared once we made the switch to being in Toddler 1 full time, and I have no doubt her quiet confidence is part of what helped him feel secure. We are really enjoying her classroom. Finally, Miss Alli and Miss Stacey are so great in their leadership roles. They are always ready to answer questions or help make adjustments or offer guidance about transitions, and they encourage an atmosphere of caring for their staff. I'm sure I am forgetting some folks, but I hope they all know they have made an impact. Their work is so important, as they care for the most precious part of our lives. I feel safe leaving my heart in their hands.
Rachel NygaardJun 18, 2026My daughter has been attending Tutor Time since she was 7 months old. She absolutely loves it there and I often struggle to get her back out the door to go home at the end of the day. She gets so excited to see her teachers and I never worry about her while she is in their care. Absolutely would recommend the Brooklyn Park location!
Lynsey SullivanMay 21, 2026I was pleased when I checked in (On the live streaming system Tutor Time offers) While working, to see Ms. Hodan de-escalate a situation With my child In the most delicate way. I appreciated that. I did do 4 stars as I wish communication with teachers was better
Nevaeh WilliamsMay 9, 2026*Our Overall Experience* Generally great: Though Tutor Time was not our first option, it ultimately became a good option for our son. Like any childcare center, it had its ups and downs during our time there. I'd like to walk through some of the experiences as neutrally as possible and hope others will find this review helpful. *Leadership You Can Feel Good About* Stacey Baker and Ali are the best! Stacey is a great and committed director. She truly cares about the children, the programs, and the families. I appreciated how personable and understanding she is, while still maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality care. She does the best she can with the resources available to her and often steps in where needed. *Teachers Make the Difference* One of the strengths of Tutor Time is its few truly great teachers. When my son first started, he struggled with his initial teacher. At first, I assumed this was simply due to adjusting to a new environment, but we noticed that his behavioral challenges were specific to that classroom and did not occur with other teachers. Once he was moved to a different class, his experience and behavior improved dramatically--it was truly night and day. I hope Tutor Time considers having more teachers trained or mentored by their strongest educators. *How Our Child Was Supported and Engaged* For the most part, our son had a great time. I especially appreciated how his teachers embraced his love of drums and music, incorporating it into activities rather than labeling him as disruptive. He was able to develop new skills and broaden his food palate--it was wonderful seeing him enjoy foods beyond cereal. *Staffing Consistency (or Lack Thereof)* One consistent challenge during our time there was low staffing and high staff turnover. This sometimes caused confusion and disrupted teacher assignments and daily activities. As mentioned earlier, Stacey and Ali did their best under the circumstances, often filling in herself when needed. *Peer Behavior and Classroom Dynamics* Another concern we experienced involved our son picking up disruptive behaviors from older children. This was difficult to undo/ "correct" at home, as his behavior became more aggressive for a period of time. Eventually, the center addressed this by separating age groups more effectively, which we appreciated. *Billing, Payments, and Communication* We also encountered challenges with the payment system. The app and payment platforms are not well integrated, as they operate through separate systems. We experienced multiple issues with autopay and found it difficult to track an accurate balance. At one point, we were sent to collections for a payment we believed had already been made. Our statements did not clearly reflect a missed payment, and despite the issue allegedly occurring in March, we continued to make payments through June without any indication of a problem or interruption in services, which conflicted with stated policy. *Would We Choose Tutor Time Again?* Overall, every place has its ups and downs, many of which are situational. Despite the challenges we experienced, our son enjoyed the better moments there, and so did we. Tutor Time has strong potential, and I hope they receive the necessary resources to fully realize it. We look forward to returning when we can. Thank you so much, everyone, for taking good care of my son and for your care and support!
Mary OluwalowoDec 26, 2025My children have attended Tutor Time since they were infants. My wife and I have enjoyed the care and love that the center offers. My children made long lasting freinds, got ready for kindergarten, and bonded with thier teachers. I would recommend Tutor Time of Brooklyn Park to everyone.
Greg LafranceNov 19, 2025We have been so impressed with Tutor Time of Brooklyn Park. As a first time mom, it was so hard to leave my baby but Tutor Time has made it such a smooth transition for our family. We have felt so supported and cared for during this transition and we can’t thank the teachers and management enough. The updates and curriculum have been amazing and so fun to watch our little one grow and learn. We are so grateful for finding this school. We recommend!
