  • I had such a positive experience at Community Day School. From a previous not great childcare experience, I went it leery with observant eyes. I dropped off & picked up at assorted times. I was always impressed, my child & the others were being well cared for by the staff. I especially like how they prioritize outside learning, & meal time with real plates & cups. Thankful we were able to be apart of there school community for so long.

  • Our 3 year old was able to join Community Day shortly after his 3rd birthday. Community Day is a long established and beautifully run school. We could not be more impressed. This is not just a daycare but a school with a curriculum and enriching activities that are developmentally appropriate (e.g. music, walks to the library, play activities, sensory days like mud days, crafts, etc). Our son is so shy, but the growth over the past few months is incredible. It was evident his teachers and all the staff involved are aware of every child's personality, quirks, and areas that may need growth. They seem to all work together seamlessly. When we drop him off we are met with smiles and open doors. Our son asks to go to school and is tuckered out from the fun days there. His main, full time teachers (Keira and Kabaina) are phenomenal and quick to give a long hug and gentle, patient reassurance to him when needed. I could not speak more highly of those ladies, but not just them, all the staff. Teachers and staff of other classrooms say hi to him by name. We have to drop him off very early sometimes and the morning ladies have been so attentive, clever with distraction and friendly (e.g. Tabitha, Bailey, Candace). I have complete peace of mind that he is well cared for and growing in all areas. Im so grateful to the whole Team out there and feel like its a privilege he was accepted! I honestly feel bad for not giving a shout out to everyone individually. Many thanks to the whole team at Community Day

  • Community day is a great daycare. I don’t worry about my children at all when they are in the hands of the staff here.

  • Taking my kids to this school was hands down the best decision we made while living in Cape Girardeau. The amount of care and flat out love ALL the teachers showed my two kids was unmatched. I am so beyond grateful to everyone involved with Community Day for helping shape them into the bright, funny, loving kids they are today. I know this sounds like hyperbole but I promise you, it is genuine. We had to leave because we moved across the state and pulling the kids from CD was the only part that made me consider staying. We moved almost 5 months ago and I still miss this school dearly. Please try your hardest to get your kids into this amazing program. I promise you will not be disappointed. They have a knack for hiring the best of the best, some of the most kindest souls to exist. We will always love CD.

  • We had a great experience there, 3 kids went through there. Ms Kathy was the owner I believe, Ms Shardae (?) was also running it and teaching, and they were all wonderful.

  • I went here several years when I was little, and excuse my language, but it was actual hell. The "teachers" were lazy, annoying college students that clearly hated kids. In the summer, they forced you to go outside, and if you wanted a drink? Too bad. They wouldn't let you get a simple drink. Not to mention that the building was and probably still is run-down, plus it got robbed; twice. Please be careful when deciding where to send your kids. This place is horrific, so please do NOT settle for Community Day.
