The classroom teachers were never very friendly. My son was 3 at the time and had a hard time at drop off. They would roll their eyes and just look very irritated instead of helping with the transition and I'm left struggling to pull my child off me because he hated it there THAT much. We kept getting lice. The director kept sending my kid home for a week at a time. Totally unnecessary. I kept treating him even though there was no live bugs in his hair. They said oh here's a knit and search for 5mins to say oh well it must've been pulled out. Took him back to the Dr everytime and they're getting annoyed at that point bc my son didnt have lice. Well I couldnt work and I'm a single mom so I wasnt able to keep up on cost. I feel it was very intentional by Jennifer.
KaralynFeb 6, 2026Update: we were disenrolled in JAN because our kiddo had high social emotional needs that Creative World staff aren’t trained to support (Conscious Discipline approach) . The amazing part is that once we were out of Creative World LS and only attending LS Great Beginnings instead of both schools, he fully potty trained in 3 days, and all signs of anxiety ceases to exist. Great Beginnings is an amazing partner in parenthood and they truly match what parents are doing at home/high communication. He’s now attending full time pre-k at LS public schools soon thanks to all the care and support from Great Beginnings. Creative world is a good place for a child that doesn’t require a conscious discipline style approach or have higher social emotional needs. I refuse to leave super negative reviews, but please ensure that a care center knows fully about your child’s needs and you feel they can accommodate long term. When we interviewed, I stated plainly what my child needed and he did amazing for months. Then something changed around the time of the facility selling to new owners and teacher turnover occurring, and his anxieties spiked pretty quickly and never recovered until we were asked to leave the center, which ended up being our biggest blessing. As a side note: Shelby is part of center leadership and is the best at Creative World LS- empathetic, caring, soft toned with children, communicative. She really gets on their level when they are having big emotions and I wish every teacher and staff member would take this approach with kiddos. …. The success Our kiddo has been at creative world for over a year now. The teachers, and all team members, are incredible with him and with us - the parents. They truly care and work with us and our son daily to make sure he is set up for success! in 22 years of raising little humans, this school is by far the most flexible, understanding, caring and encouraging school we've attended before public school. The high communication, planning and support is why we love it here.
cassandra gillamJan 28, 2026My kids have been enrolled here since 2018 and recently withdrew immediately after the recent news shared. Back in 2018 the program was excellent and welcoming! Throughout the years, management and staff have declined. As of 2025, they changed ownership and the program has sufferered tremendously. The owners are rude and inconsiderate. They've lost their longest employed teachers, they discontinued health insurance for teachers, they enroll kids while being undstaffed. The ratio every morning is at least 12:1. This goes against state regulations. This matter has been brought up to staff and has not been handled properly. Currently, they are enrolling kids without pre screening which means, kids with behavioral issues are being placed with teachers who are not trained for this kind responsibility - this ultimately affects other students ability to learn effectively. Families have become dollar signs for these people. Jennifer who is the head staff member is rude and Janice the owner is unhelpful, some staff members smell like cigarettes upon arrival, are ungroomed and curss around the children. We were recently informed of child indecency which is unacceptable at all costs which prompted immediate withdrawal from this program. Do not enroll your child here. You will not know where your child will be at the end of the day which means they may start in one class and end up being in another class because staffing is not adequate. State investigations are in place.
M MunizAug 17, 2025I would highly recommend Creative World Lee's Summit! My daughter loves going to school everyday and that was not the case with her previous daycare... I actually worked at her previous one down the hall and she still was never as excited to go to school as she is here! They do plenty of activities and keep the kids engaged!!
Jacqueline BarlowJul 17, 2025We switched to Creative World LS after having a negative experience at a different school. We were nervous about transitioning our two-year-old again in such a short period of time, but we expressed those concerns—as well as our hopes for what her transition could look like—so it would go smoothly. We are so pleased with how the staff responded and acted on our hopes for our kiddo. She is thriving and loves going to school—even saying she's excited in the mornings. Her teachers are caring and loving, the facility is clean, and the rest of the staff is welcoming.
Caroline DornanMay 1, 2025Love the connections the teachers make with the children as well as the parents. Our daughters love their teachers and we do too! We couldn’t be more grateful for everything this school has taught our children. They love going to school every day. Would recommend this school to everyone.
