ETHICAL SOCIETY NURSERY SCHOOL

As a stay-at-home parent searching for the right early childhood environment for my first child, I felt incredibly lucky to find Ethical Society Nursery School. From the very beginning, it stood out. The open communication, clear boundaries, deep investment in each child, and thoughtful balance of low-tech, nature-based play all create something truly special. But more than anything, it was the sense of joy and safety my child felt from his very first day. Our son started in the two-day Green class in January, and the teachers and director went out of their way to make both of us feel supported, seen, and genuinely excited for this new chapter. From that point on, every stage of his development felt like a true partnership. We were never navigating anything alone, and as a parent, that kind of trust and collaboration means everything. On top of that, he has thrived in their play-based learning environment, and has surpassed all developmental and learning milestone while maintaining an joyful, supportive, low-stress experience. Now, as our second child enters this same phase, I feel nothing but confidence and excitement for what lies ahead. I’m now a working parent, and the availability of before and after care has made that transition seamless. What stands out most, though, is how natural all of this support feels. Communication is direct, warm, and human. There is no barrier between families and teachers or leadership. Even educators who have never directly taught my children know them, greet them by name, and show genuine affection and care. That speaks volumes about the kind of community this is. Ethical Society Nursery School is a beautiful, intentional, progressive, and deeply nurturing place. We feel incredibly proud to be part of it, and I truly could not recommend it more highly.

Ethical Society is a wonderful preschool that offers all of the best things that you would want from a school for your little. The teachers are amazing, the curriculum is play based learning and the building/grounds/rooms themselves are beautiful. We have sent both of our kids to ESNS and they have thrived. I cannot say enough good things about this preschool!

Ethical Society Nursery School is such a wonderful preschool. The play-based structure, small class sizes, nurturing environment, and close-knit community are exactly what our family was looking for in our search for quality preschools for our daughter. The teachers are knowledgeable and kind and the classrooms and outdoor spaces are welcoming and inviting. The school's emphasis and focus on social emotional learning through play and experiences is especially note-worthy. We would recommend ESNS in a heart beat and could not have asked for a better preschool for our family!

My two sons are in their second year at Ethical Society Nursery School and we could not be happier with our experience. The play-based learning structure combined with talented, nurturing teachers has resulted in so many positive developmental strides in my children. They have made great friends and it's become our home away from home. With affordable tuition and an amazing community, this is seriously the best preschool in the Ladue / Clayton / U City area!
