FAITH ACADEMY OF MONTESSORI

Our children attend the local public WGSD schools during the regular school year, but attended Faith Academy's "Camp Run-a-Muk" summer program over their summer break, as tuition was comparable to WGSD pre-K, it began very shortly after WGSD let out and ran until right before the school year started back up, the pick-up/drop-off times were convenient (all-day M-F), and we were intrigued by the idea of exposing our kids to the Montessori education style. We could not have asked for a better experience. Our kids had a blast all summer long, were excited to go every morning, and were welcomed warmly and seamlessly by both the staff and other children. Owner/director Debbie Winter adores the kids and it shows in every aspect of the program. Our kids loved the staff, including teacher Ms. Emily and Spanish teacher Sra. Maria (among others). They did weekly trips to the Maplewood-R.H. pool, as well as field trips to Queeny Park, Grant's Farm, Busch Stadium, an Amtrak ride, the local fire station, and others. Our kids were very proud of everything they learned, and they even made some new friends in the short time they were there. We're very happy with WGSD, but if we were to send them elsewhere up to age 6 (after which Faith Academy's program ends), Faith would be at the top of our list. We cannot recommend them enough for the summer program.
