  • Jessie B’s Academy (JBA) is amazing and I recommend this facility to all my family and friends. If you are looking for a place for your child to have fun, be seen, heard and included, and to grow and develop, this is the place! My children have been with this facility since January 2023 and we all love Mrs. Jessie and her staff. They are all so great with children and make sure each of them feel special. When my oldest got to JBA in January 2023, it was heaven sent. My oldest had encountered issues in her previous daycare and Mrs. Jessie and staff welcomed her with open arms and helped her build up her confidence and excitement in learning and wanting to go to school. My oldest started Kindergarten August 2024 and excelled! She was so excited and eager to learn. Although no longer attending during the school year, my oldest still looks forward to visiting Mrs. Jessie every summer as these are people she knows, she trusts, and learns from. My youngest also attends JBA and will enter her last year of Pre-K this year. Since attending, her handwriting, reading, and social-emotional skills have improved tremendously. JBA provides a lot of hands-on teaching and a vast amount of resources such as music therapy, speech therapy, Ready Readers, etc. to make sure our children are exposed to different experiences and they are prepared for a life of opportunity. I truly appreciate JBA for their time and dedication and creating a safe space for my children to thrive. My children have a sense of community in JBA and looks forward to going to school EVERY DAY! Any questions I have, they answer in a timely manner. If I don’t understand something, they explain and communicate to me with joy and respect. They are always welcoming and truly love what they do with and for our children.

  • I am sharing this review so other parents can make an informed decision based on my experience. During my time at Jessie B's Academy, I made every effort to follow the policies that were communicated to me. This included providing advance notice for two vacation days and communicating through both ProCare and email to ensure there was a clear record of the request. My understanding was that the request had been approved. The issue arose when it came time to apply those vacation days. I was informed that if my daughter attended three days during that week, I would still be responsible for the full weekly tuition. When I asked for clarification regarding how the approved vacation days affected my balance, I felt that I received inconsistent explanations. The policy and the way it was being applied did not make sense to me, and my attempts to gain clarity became a source of frustration rather than resolution. I specifically reached out before payment was due because my account statement did not appear to reflect the approved vacation days. I also requested a call to discuss the matter. As a parent, I believed I was taking reasonable steps to understand my financial responsibility before making payment. What disappointed me most was not the disagreement itself, but how the conversation was handled. I remained respectful and was simply seeking clarification. However, I left the interaction feeling dismissed and spoken to in a manner that I perceived as condescending and unnecessarily confrontational. A parent should be able to ask questions about billing and policies without feeling uncomfortable for doing so. There was also an issue involving a summer camp t-shirt that I had paid for when my daughter was enrolled. My daughter never received or wore the shirt despite me being told that the shirts are kept at the school. I also noted my child was never wearing it during field trips. When I raised the concern, I was ultimately issued a refund. I appreciated receiving the refund, but I would have preferred clearer communication regarding the matter from the beginning. What made the experience especially disappointing is that I consistently supported the program. I paid my invoices on time, participated in fundraisers, and contributed supplies for the classroom. I genuinely wanted to support the daycare community and maintain a positive relationship with staff. To be fair, my daughter did benefit from her time there and experienced growth while enrolled. I am grateful for the care she received in many respects. However, positive aspects of the program do not erase the concerns I had regarding communication, billing transparency, and professionalism. My advice to prospective parents is to keep detailed written records of communications regarding policies, payments, and approved exceptions. Clear documentation proved invaluable whenever questions arose. This review reflects my personal experience and is shared in the interest of helping other families make informed decisions when doing business with this entity.

  • I really love this child care facility. All my kids talk about when they get home is Mrs. Jessie or Mr. Glenn. Everyone is always very nice. When I loss my job, they still allowed my children to attend school until I found my new job. For that I will forever speak highly and have much love and respect for this Daycare.
