  • My children attended Kid City USA for 14 months. I truly wanted things to improve and gave the center more than enough time to resolve its ongoing issues. Unfortunately, while there were moments when things got better—usually for about three days—everything would quickly return to the same problematic patterns. There are serious concerns around staff training and leadership. New teachers were often placed in classrooms without proper preparation, and the environment lacked structure. There was no consistent curriculum in place, and classroom management was poor. It often felt like the children were left to run things, with teachers struggling to maintain control in a healthy or respectful way. Leadership was another major issue. The directors seemed hesitant to hold each other accountable, and the owner remained completely disconnected—even though her own children attended. One director often fueled drama instead of addressing problems directly. Communication with parents was minimal, especially when it came to important incidents. In fact, I wasn’t notified about a serious situation involving my child until nearly a month later. Two teachers were fired for using aggressive force on my 3-year-old, and one was rehired just two days later without informing me. That kind of response is completely unacceptable. I held on for over a year in the hope that things would improve, but the inconsistency and lack of transparency ultimately made it impossible to continue. I hope the center takes these issues seriously and makes the changes needed, because the kids—and their families—deserve better.

  • If you want you child to be love and cared for and in a beautiful and safe environment when they are away from you, this is the place to "BEE" 🐝! They are some incredible women who really prioritize the health, safety, and care of the little ones and it is so comforting to know there is no worry ever when leaving our little one with these ladies. The are so patient and kind with the kids and really do well with child led development which we appreciate. And they have soccor shots that comes and that is a huge plus too!! All around loving and beautiful place and your little one will have a home away from home here.

  • Really wanted to love it here, but as a first time parent with an infant enrolled in daycare, the subpar communication and minimal care provided was unacceptable. There were multiple instances of miscommunication, from not being informed of a price increase between the time we signed up and our first day, to only receiving the bare minimum of updates for our kiddo throughout the day (and sometimes even having to request those). When we voiced a concern about our child’s care to the staff we often did not feel they took it seriously. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because our baby loved his teachers and was always happy to see them.

  • My 2 children attend Kid City USA. I can truly say that this daycare has been a blessing beyond belief. The director Chelsea has been wonderful throughout every communication we have had! The teachers are friendly and kind! I have loved working with them and will continue to keep my kiddos there! I feel that they are well care for and safe while at Kid City USA!!

  • I have 3 boys, and have tried a total of 4 local daycares. My oldest is 5 and now consistently in school, but Kid City has drop in care for his days off and he LOVES going. Let me say that again- my 5 year old LOVES going to daycare for drop in days. We also have a 2 year old and a newborn. In the last 2 years we tried several places and constantly felt uneasy or anxious leaving the boys. Staff turnover was always happening other places, and it felt like at other places we were leaving our kids in chaos. Kid City is totally different. Every day is consistent, and the schedule is predictable and fun. The 2 year has been in several classrooms and he loves his teachers. The 2 year old also gets therapy and Kid City is super accommodating and the therapists always rave about how impressed they are when they go. The newborn started a few weeks ago and I was totally anxious. Kid City uses an app that keeps us up to date daily on feeding times, diaper changes, and all the important info. It’s so comforting to see things in real time. Plus the staff are the sweetest. We get pictures frequently as well, and the boys are always smiling!

  • This is the first time my wife and I have done the daycare thing and it's been awesome so far. My wife is really nervous leaving our kiddo at daycare and they made us feel very comfortable and safe. They are super attentive to our kid, communicate really well, and everyone is extremely kind and accommodating. We're thankful for finding Kid City USA Lee's Summit.
