We attended this center for years, and overall there were staff members there who truly cared about my son. However, I do believe Jessica should no longer be in a leadership position based on how certain situations were handled. Years after the fact, I learned that my son was involved in an incident where a teacher named Amber allegedly threw him onto a chair. Another parent I knew witnessed the incident through a window and reported it. From what I was told, Amber was terminated that same day. I even received a text message from her saying, "This is my last day being Camden's teacher." At the time, I thought the message was strange and did not respond. What concerns me most is that I was never informed about the incident involving my own child. As his parent, I should have been told what happened and given the opportunity to make decisions regarding his care. Finding out years later made me question what else may have occurred that I was never made aware of. I do want to acknowledge that after this incident, one staff member in particular, Andrea, was wonderful with Camden. She cared for him for several years, treated him with kindness, and built a positive relationship with him. I have nothing but positive things to say about her. My concerns are primarily with the administration and how situations were handled. I learned about this incident from another parent after she had already moved away, not from the center itself. I also felt that some ongoing behavioral issues among students were not addressed quickly enough. In my opinion, certain students who consistently exhibited inappropriate behavior should have been removed sooner. I believe some of the negative behaviors my son later displayed were learned from peers in that environment. While there were caring teachers at the center, I do not believe the administration handled important safety and behavioral concerns in a transparent or appropriate manner. As his parent, I should have been able to see what happened and decide if I wanted to pursue legal actions.
Carolyn BoydstunJun 3, 2026I highly recommend Messiah Lighthouse Daycare. The staff create such a caring, structured, and positive environment for the children. You never see staff on their phone, they are always interacting with the children every time I come in, never see any kids crying! All kiddos are always so content and happy when I come in for drop offs and pickups! It gives me real peace of mind knowing my 3-year-old is in a place where he is safe, learning, and cared for every day. I especially want to recognize his 2–3 year old teacher. She is incredibly patient, sweet, attentive, and truly gifted with children. She always lets me know how my son does during the day and brings any concerns to my attention! My son absolutely loves going to daycare and has grown so much socially and developmentally in her classroom. It’s clear that she puts her heart into what she does, and it means so much to me as a parent. We are very grateful to be part of the Messiah Lighthouse community
Seanna TurnerMar 13, 2026My son was there for 2 years. We loved it, daycare is hard bc you are mixing kids from all different kinds of home into one room! Overall great experience with staff, the kids are safe and loved.
Carolyn BoydstunSep 17, 2025This daycare requires its parents to provide toys or come in and clean or watch kids or they will be charged a fee. Not only that but they have hot lined and made false allegations for absolutely no reason at all. Take your kids somewhere else. Staff is also very rude and unaccomodating.
Kerrah WilliamsMar 16, 2023This is our second time sending our kids to this childcare center. They are a family school and we love it and all the people involved. It’s a place where families can grow and connect with other families. Also I chose to send our youngest again because not once have I had to worry or wonder if my child is in good hands. They have great and easy ways to keep open communication. Though these age groups are young, they are also wonderful at helping kiddos meet their developmental milestones. We love it here!
Michelle GlickNov 4, 2022My daughter has been going here since she was 12 weeks old and we've had a very positive experience the last two years!
