SMALL WONDERS CHILDCARE CENTER CONTINUES

I would strongly caution parents before enrolling their children at this daycare. My 3-year-old autistic child was able to leave the facility unsupervised while in their care. This was an extremely serious safety failure and one of the most terrifying experiences a parent can go through. Not only did this horrifying event happen, but the staff neglected to call or message me to inform me of the incident—only informing me at the time of pickup. After I reported the incident to state compliance authorities, I experienced what felt like retaliation instead of accountability or genuine concern for my child’s safety and wellbeing. Rather than focusing on corrective action and transparency, communication became increasingly difficult and dismissive. Parents trust daycare providers to maintain proper supervision and safety procedures at all times, especially for vulnerable children who may require additional support. In my experience, that trust was broken. I have had nothing but good experiences with staff in the past. However, the lack of communication and retaliatory efforts on management’s end have left a bad taste in my mouth.
