  • I’m extremely disappointed with this daycare. My child started here September 29,2025 and last day there was Wednesday October 29. The severe rash happen on Tuesday October 28,2025. Her skin was broken, red, and a little blood. My child developed a severe rash while in their care — it got so bad that it actually broke her skin. When I brought it up, the staff seemed dismissive and didn’t take my concerns seriously. As a parent, that’s unacceptable. I trusted them to care for my child, and instead she came home in pain and discomfort. I the parent was not notified about the skin change. It was surprise when my sister got my child to her house. The lack of attention to hygiene and proper skin care is very concerning. I would strongly recommend that parents think twice before bringing their children here until the facility takes responsibility and improves their standards of care and hygiene instead of letting infants sleep all day without proper changing them. Definitely miss Ms.Hazel Gaddis!:) i have pictures of my child’s skin but can not upload due to the nature and location of the area

  • My daughter has been going here for 2 years. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend them to anyone looking for childcare in the Hattiesburg area. The owners and the staff love those kids like they are their own. If there was a concern or question that we had it was answered in a timely and professional manner. Even on days I didn’t send my daughter my daughter would still ask was she going today, and that says a lot when your child actually is happy to go. It saddens us that we have moved but I am so grateful to have been apart of the Brighter Beginnings family.

  • Our son has been going to this daycare for about three months now, and we’ve had such a great experience. The infant room staff is so caring and attentive—you can tell they really know and understand each baby’s needs. It’s comforting dropping him off every day knowing he’s in such loving hands. What really stands out is how involved the director is. She’s not just in the office—she’s actually in the classrooms, interacting with the kids, and getting to know the families. That kind of presence makes a big difference and shows how much she genuinely cares. As someone in the military, I’m not always able to be home, but the team makes me feel like I’m never too far. They send sweet pictures throughout the day and having access to the cameras gives me peace of mind when I’m away. We truly feel lucky to have found this place. The director and child care providers go above and beyond, and it’s clear they love what they do.

  • I wouldn't recommend this facility. While the teachers were truly great and my daughter loved them, the way the owner(s) handled my nephew was unacceptable. As mothers, we do our best to choose a place that prioritizes our children’s well-being, but this was not a good fit for him or his needs. He should never have been treated as if he were a criminal, especially with comments like “he can kill someone.” He is the sweetest, most kind-hearted little teddy bear you could ever meet. The way he was treated is simply intolerable. Unfortunately, he cannot advocate for himself. Ultimately, we just want our children to feel safe, protected, and loved. This facility has failed not only my nephew but also other families, as indicated by previous reviews.

  • I WOULD NOT recommend this center to anyone! My 1 year old granddaughter attended here for two weeks and she shouldn’t have been there that long! By this being the baby’s 1st time attending daycare, of course she’s going to cry. Well, several times, myself and her daughter observed her crying while the staff purposely ignored her. She would be following them around crying for some kind of attention or to be consoled, but instead, they literally dodge her! She came home horse from crying so much! I just don’t see how someone can SIT there and watch a baby cry for hours, and not try to console them. It’s probably because they’re more focused on tuition and fees! When we brought it to their attention about us withdrawing her, they said something about tuition! No concern was shown!

  • The daycare failed to properly support my son, who was recently diagnosed with autism. He had been there since he was 10 months old and is now three. The owner, who did not have the qualifications to diagnose, had previously suggested that my son might have autism a year ago. She was already aware of his potential condition. She mentioned that he could potentially harm other children, even using the word "kill" when referring to a 3 year old. When I tried to transfer my son to another daycare while still needing care for the week to get everything sorted out, the owner made excuses for why he should not return. She had his bags packed and waiting without knowing if I was going to officially withdraw him. She was unprofessional in discussing the transfer process with me and started to argue when caught lying. Despite the good teachers, I do not recommend this facility due to the horrible behavior of the owners. EDIT: I believe I have the right to express my thoughts on what occurred. I previously wrote a review, and the owner responded in a way that felt like an attack to me. There was a discrepancy in how she and I perceived the situation. It's a matter of differing opinions on who was right or wrong. But I felt that she lied and that should be okay. I felt that the way they treated my son, was unacceptable, and that won't change. The fact that the owner publicly mentioned concerns about my child's hygiene on a review response without directly addressing me while my children attended there, if true, speaks volumes about her character. Because why is this the first I've ever heard of it? I'm looking to see if this was okay legally, something tells me it was not. Bringing up unasked favors she did for me also reflects poorly on her character. She shouldn't assume that any actions she took on my behalf invalidate my right to be upset and voice my concerns as a parent. It seems clear that her actions were not genuine, and her behavior comes across as argumentative and unprofessional. As a devoted parent, I will always stand up for my children because no one else will do it for me. I want to warn other parents that if you have opinions, questions, or issues, when it comes to your children it may be best to avoid this daycare as they have a history of removing families, engaging in arguments, and responding to reviews in a contentious manner. It is really bothersome that she thinks I could forget how my son was treated. We left in February there's not much to forget. On the bright side of things he attends a very nice daycare who can hold twice their amount of kids and keep all kids safe. They have multiple kids there with disabilities and treat every kid well. So we were blessed after this happened! Parents, look at this as a clear example of what you may encounter when dealing with something or someone you don't agree with. It's confrontational, lacking professionalism, and unrefined. If that comment didn't prove enough of what you could deal with, I don't know what else needs to be said. reconsider your choices!
