  • My child started out in the younger kids building and the teachers seemed great and he really liked them but once he turned 3 and moved to the upper building he would frequently beg me not to take him and ask if he could go back to the lower building. Hearing him say that would always break my heart. Then one day at home while sitting at his table he knocked over his drink and said to me "are you going to pull my ear now?" I asked why would I pull your ear and his response was because my teacher gets mad and pulls my ear when my desk gets dirty. I then asked if there was anything else his teacher did that was mean and he said she always tells me she's going to give me a whoopin if I dont behave. A few months prior to finding out this we picked my son up early to head out of state for the holidays and noticed that he had a big knot on his forehead by the next morning there was an egg sized black and blue knot from the bridge of his nose to the center of his forehead mind you the center never said anything about how it happened and didnt even write up an incident report until after I went in and asked what the heck happened. This center IMO only seems to care about money and not the well being of children I should have known something was off when every other day care had a wait list and this one said my child could start that same week. I learned that even after having receiving fines in the past for exceeding the children teacher ratio they had still continued to take in more children and refused to hire more teacher assistants even after teachers would beg for additional help and threaten to leave if they didnt get a TA. Its been a while since my child went here and maybe things have changed but after reading some more recent reviews it doesn't look like it.

  • My son has been there since the age of 1 and he’s four. He really enjoys Lake Village and the staff. I would definitely recommend!

  • I’m very disappointed with my experience at Lake Village Learning Center. When my child was in the baby building, we had a positive experience and felt comfortable with the care provided. Unfortunately, that changed completely once my child moved to the 3 and up building. From the start, I encountered unprofessionalism, a clear lack of accountability, and very poor communication. Mornings were especially frustrating. I often didn’t even know where my child was supposed to go at drop-off because of the lack of staff and disorganization. What upset me most was how my fully potty-trained child was sent home in soiled clothes almost every day. When I asked why he was having so many accidents all of a sudden, the director told me, “He acts scared to talk to his teacher” and that “He needs to learn how to tell her when he needs to go to the bathroom.” This response was not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning it’s the teacher’s responsibility to create a safe, supportive environment for the children in her care, not to intimidate them into silence. There was also an incident where my child was sent home with poop still on his legs. When I brought this to their attention, instead of showing true remorse, they made excuses saying the teacher didn’t have help and was a dialysis patient. It was clear to me that they are more interested in defending their employees than ensuring the well-being and dignity of the children. Please learn from my experience and stay away from this place.

  • do not recommend sending any child to Lake Village Learning Center. The environment is extremely unprofessional. The staff constantly argue with one another even in front of parents and often drag both parents and children into their conflicts. The owner, Leon, is rude, dismissive, and appears more focused on money than the well-being of the children. Most of the staff are his relatives and display the same lack of professionalism. Children are frequently moved between classrooms due to declining enrollment following the end of the voucher program, paired with poor leadership and instability. At one point, my child had a teacher who was clearly struggling with serious mental health issues, and we weren’t informed until she was finally terminated despite them knowing for months. The lack of transparency and accountability is alarming. There is no structure, no stability, and absolutely no genuine care for the children. Zero stars.

  • The absolute worst place to send your child!! After leaving a Thanksgiving lunch at the daycare with my 2 year old daughter (at that time)…I left her at the daycare because I had to go back to work. My daughter cried so bad because she wanted to go home for the day… her teacher (Rochelle) told me to sneak out and she will take care of my daughter. So I hid behind the door at an angle where I can see Miss Rochelle attempt to calm my baby girl down and prepare for a nap. I pulled out my phone to video record the entire moment. What I caught on tape was the wildest scene I had ever saw. Rochelle picked up my 2 year old daughter who was crying uncontrollably …and threw my 2 year old on this cot so hard that she bounced on it and almost rolled on the floor. I was so angry that I immediately went to the Director and showed her the video…and she said she would talk to her …in which did happen…(but she should have gotten fired in my opinion). I confronted Miss Rochelle about it and she tried to lie about how she handled uncontrollable children…when I showed her the video… her face hit the ground. The last straw was when she laid my daughter in urine and sent her home with urine still on her. That was my daughter’s last day at that daycare from hell.

  • Absolutely horrible experience for my child at this daycare. She was verbally threatened in front of staff at her elementary school when the van was picking up the children after school. The daycare employee threatened to spank my child for crying on more than one occasion, and the school felt it was so bad that they had to report it to me. Lake Village director was nonchalant about it, and never addressed it or apologized. A 4 year old boy got out of the fence and walked home. He was in my child's class. Completely unacceptable. I walked in on a teacher yelling at my 1 year old for crying. She was new there. The teacher didn't know I was standing there. Do not send your child to Lake Village Learning Center. Minus a few good teachers, it was awful and my child is still traumatized.
